Chapter 1_The Fight

His expression darkened as he swelled with anger and launched a massive roundhouse punch with his right arm. I side-stepped, ducked under his arm, then sprang up and spun around.

He halted abruptly, stiff-legged, and turned back to me. We swapped positions, and I noticed the crowd that had cheered for Cole was now silent. He charged at me again, swinging his right arm. I sidestepped and ducked, returning to our starting point, but he was breathing harder and looked panicked, clearly worried about his so-called pride.

"You are a big girl's blouse," I said in a husky voice.

I had heard a term of abuse somewhere, and for some reason, it worked well on a certain type of guy, especially Cole. He charged at me again without hesitation, using the same exact moves. This time, as I spun under his arm, I drove my elbow into his side. He bounced back on locked knees and came at me again. I felt the breeze as his massive fist connected with my jaw, and I tasted the metallic, bitter blood in my mouth.

He stood there panting, but i can still see that 'Oh-i-am-so-great' look in his eyes. I suddenly felt the urge to smack that look off his face. I don't usually like fighting a dickhead like him and being surrounded by people cheering up seeing us fight. But it was Cole who likes getting his butt handed to him by me. I can't comprehend why he keeps picking up fight with me.His only mistake was getting involved with the wrong guy, believing he could escape consequences because he's in charge and I'm second in command.

I smirked, there is no way i am gonna let him win ,he needs to know who he messed up with.

He swarmed through the air at me. Came on like a pile driver I dogged left and put an elbow in his face and he connected with his left hand and knocked me sideways like I weighed nothing at all.

I went down on one knee and got back just in time to arch around his next crazy lunge. His fist missed my gut by a quarter-inch and its wild momentum pulled him past me which put the side of his head right in line for a left hook.

My fist crashed into his ears and he staggered back and I followed up with the colossal right in his jaw, then I dance back and took a breath and tried to see what damage I've done.

No damage.....!

Well, nothing in comparison with me...

There was blood on his upper lip and left ear but there was absolutely nothing else wrong with him.

He should be lying flat on the ground begging to breathe but he showed no pain. No concern. He was smiling again, I look at him and knew for sure he knew exactly what I was thinking he smiled wider. Got balanced on the balls of both feet and hunched his shoulders down, low and held his hands out in front like claws. Like he was gonna come and get me and tear me apart.

Not gonna happen, buddy.

He came straight at me, and I dodged left, but he was ready for that manoeuvre. and he landed a right hook on my shoulder. I felt it crack. I came off my feet and down on my back.

Maybe he joined the gym again...

I rolled over twice and pushed with my hands and leveled myself upright.

My shoulder burned, and he was getting faster. I dodged whatever he threw for a minute, but he underestimated me. Just as he thought I was losing it, I punched him in the face, definitely breaking his nose. Blood poured from both nostrils like leaking taps as he opened his mouth to breathe. That's it.

So i let go with the upper cut. Gave it everything i had. It was a perfect blow. I landed a punch right where his jaw narrowed under his chin.  Solid bone-to-bone contact. I heard a shudder coming right from his neck and he stumbled back a little to balance himself.

It should have broken his neck as well as his jaw. he was holding his jaw as if he let go it would come right off  it's hinges. He moved as if he was about to fall and just then he kicked me in the shin and I rolled  over to my side for balance.

Wrong move,

I face-planted right on the ground with a thud. I could feel something dripping off from the right side of my forehead.

Shit.

I forced myself up on my toes and Cole charged again.  With a low swing from left I dodged it ducking under his arm grabbing his shoulder and I flip him to the ground.

He was absolutely not ready for this. He's definitely not smart.

Now i had the upper hand. He was lying on the ground with me toppling him. I punched him in his fucking throat...

Once,

Twice,

Thrice...

Cole was bloody and battered now. Yet he kept coming, his breath wheezing. The blood from my forehead and sweat blurred my vision.

He punched my already wounded shoulder. That bloody bastard. I dogged the next to my left and this gave him the opportunity to get on his toes.

We both were now on a feet again but this time he looked much more beaten up and bloody then me. But his eyes....mann. His eyes were as if he felt no pain, like a robot and yet he is smiled.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

Sharda: I really enjoyed the pace of this story. It was mostly realistic, but It was tough to wrap my head around that a 13-year-old boy would be so intuitive and a friend to his mom. My 13-year-old daughter is super smart and says I am her best friend so I guess it is possible. I struggled because boys usu...
