Chapter 1 - Death
"It is with a heavy heart that we gather today to remember Fumiko Sato. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed."
The ceremony is solemn, filled with quiet somber tones. Friends and family members share memories and stories of Fumiko, shedding tears and remembering her fondly. Her casket is closed and surrounded by flowers.
After the funeral, the funeral goers begin to disperse. Some say their last goodbyes, others take some time to grieve on their own. It's a sad day for all those who knew and loved Fumiko.
As time passes, Fumiko is slowly forgotten. Her name and legacy fade into the background of history. She is no longer remembered by most, and those who do, know little about her besides what the few stories that are shared have said.
Fumiko's life and death are shrouded in mystery, and few know what really happened to her. All they can do now is wonder at the life this woman lived, and what stories she may have had to share if she hadn't passed away.
"I can't believe she's gone," one person whispers to their companion.
"She was so young," another person remarks sadly.
People share embraces and words of comfort, doing their best to uplift each other in their time of grief.
"She'll always be with us," one person says, trying to stay positive.
As the crowd disperses, people slowly move on with their lives, remembering Fumiko's memory fondly.
"We'll never forget you, Fumiko," one person says quietly.
As one of the funeralgoers moves away from the crowd, a quiet mutter is heard, just loud enough for nearby people to hear.
"I never had much use for that girl," one person mutters, barely audible to those around them.
"She always acted like she was better than everyone else," another person adds, laughing quietly.
As the crowd disperses, the person who laughed quietly to themselves stands alone in front of the casket, grinning widely to themselves.
The light of the setting sun hits them in just the right way, casting a sinister shadow over their face.
"Ah, Fumiko Sato. It's so nice to see you gone from this world," they chuckle.
As the sun sets in the distance, the person leaves, fading into the shadows as darkness takes over.
