Synopsis

Meat Suits is a character-driven, humourous, sometimes satirical fantasy story. After Hell and Heaven declare a cease-fire, disgraced Archangel Pyriel and fallen Angel Asmodeus, who have discovered how to animate human copses using their powers, are getting ready for a night out. The rules are clear. No angel or demon may interfere, possess or harm humans.

After a series of unfortunate incidents during their night out, the duo return to the morgue to find Management waiting for them. They are to be punished for disobedience and zombie-related incidents, and made an example of.

Detectives Abigail Thompson and George Swine are shot and brought to the ER. After both officers perish and their souls move on, Management forces Pyriel into the body of Abigail Thompson, and Asmodeus merges into the body of George Swine.

The duo awake, now human, confused and in pain. Worse, their powers are gone.

While learning about their new bodies, Camile Prentes (Cam), a fellow detective and friend of the former Abigail, comes to the rescue when the duo feign amnesia.

Management return and perform a miracle. Now healed and well, the duo start assimilating into the lives of their new bodies and discover that someone is trying to kill them.

The roller coaster of discoveries continues during shopping sprees, cooking, and daily tasks. Asmodeus discovers that vegetables fight back, and they fight dirty while flatulence reaps havoc in the duo's lives.

Cam has been investigating an increase in brutal home invasions, and when she teams up with the duo, they discover an overlap in their cases.

After some investigation, the duo uncover a plan to destabilize a local community using street gangs.

On their journey of culinary discoveries, the duo meet Kira, an Angel who has taken over the body of a deceased shopkeeper. Pyriel and Asmodeus help Kira fulfil her dream of running the little shop known for its Bunny-Chow. In return, Kira helps Asmodeus to contact a group of Angels and Demons who like to watch street performers by the Waterfront.

The duo pitches Asmodeus's bonkers idea to use Meat Suits to fight back and clean the community from its crime wave and drug infestation.

The group agrees in return for a festival of light and music.

Cam and Asmodeus work on setting up the Rave at an abandoned church, while Pyriel works on transportation.

Armed with a converted school bus with blacked-out windows, disco lights, pumping music and optional seating, the Meat Suits go raiding crack houses.

The Rave is a massive success, even with Asmodesus spinning around like a hurtling meteor with extended arms shouting, "Bee-Baaa Bee-Baaa".

The Meat Suit raids continue with roaring success, bringing Mr. X out of hiding.

When the duo hear about a high-level meeting with lots of security, they have no choice but to tell Cam the truth. Since their near-death experience, they can see things beyond this world. Spirits like Kira. Who can possess the dead, cook, manage shops and sell delicious curries.

After Kira calms Cam down, they plan for war. ZSWAT (Zombie Special Waltz and Tango) against the Russian mafia.

Asmodeus and Pyriel go shopping at an Army surplus store. They buy sets of SWAT-like uniforms and replica AR-15 rifles. Ready for the next day's Meat Suits assault.

D-Day. Cam and three squad cars descend on a Russian restaurant. Pinned down under automatic fire, Cam gives the green light. ZSWAT descend. Demons and Angels in Meat Suits, dressed like SWAT, armed with replica rifles, clean the restaurant and its occupants. ZWAT disappears into the smog, leaving everyone, including the Captain, the mole and inside man for the Russians, incapacitated, or flat on the sidewalk.

Later, when the real SWAT receives a phone call from the Major, congratulating them on a job well done, SWAT commander Richards is confused since he and his team had been blowing off steam at a Go-Kart track.
