Parallel Lines

I know we weren't meant for each other

But still I chanted our names together

I saw our future through your eyes

And you failed to notice my happiest smile;

We talked of everything

A settled life, happily married by 25

But we were just parallel lines

We were never meant to be together

Now I have to see the wretched present through my eyes

Maybe in next life, we could be each other's

I guess forever doesn't always mean for life,

Cause in the end, we are just parallel lines.
