Engaging Story, Great Characters
"I truly enjoyed this story! I read it almost in one sitting and couldn’t put it down. The relationship between the Jarl Kristoff and Princess Danielle was moving, from their heartwarming honeymoon to the challenges they faced as he struggled to balance his brutal nature with the love he felt for her. Their love story unfolded in a compelling and emotional way. I found myself wishing for a little more understanding into the motivations of Zoega and Dierde. Paola was an engaging villain, and it would have been interesting to see her plans feel a bit more formidable. I would have loved a few more chapters to further flesh out the new king and queens romance story arc, but overall this was a great read. This is a well-written and engaging book with strong characters and an absorbing plot. While a few areas felt slightly rushed toward the end, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the story. I would definitely recommend. "
