Attributable to The Weeknd is the most popular R&B artist and one of the most known artists in today's culture, I believe what makes him stand out is the versitality in his music. For instance, if you compare two of his hits "Die For You" and After Hours, they are both compelling to listen to by his fanbase but they both give off different feelings. The Weeknd also portrays a larger concept in his identity as an artist than other R&B artists which makes him a hit. I believe his voice is very versatile and has good flow with his versatile music because he doesn't just make calm beats to listen to followed by many R&B artists, but he makes sure to match the instrumentals with his messages and lyrics. This is why people find his music to be obsessive. (2)

His collaborates brings him outside his usual concepts and despite this, The Weeknd is able to manage with his flow. The Weeknd holds a lot of talent in his music which makes him able to showcase his best, for the reason he also is #1 on Spotify with over 100 million listeners. Especially when it comes to his concerts with sold-out stadiums, people have commented about their surreals experiences. From the perspective that I look at during his performances, The Weeknd has a certifiable stage prescence. By the visuals of his set that undoubtedly corresponds with his concepts, he also brings out a futuristic concept to his live performances than just mentioning his deep and passionate lyrics that come from his personal experiences.
Coming forth, The Weeknd, or by his real name Abel Tesfaye, has announced only a few months ago that he would like to "kill The Weeknd" to bring out his true self. It's confirmed that his stage name comes from when he ran away on the weekend. His debut has clearly rose the foundation to his success year by year, now making him one of the most recognizable artists in the music industry today.
