Chapter 1
Dominic
I sit there looking out the window lost in thought, thinking of the girl in the window only to be interrupted by Richie.
“Dom, Listen to me”
“Why rich”
“Because I need you to focus”
I roll my eyes and drag my hand down my face. Richie sighs.
“Tell me about her '' he sits back in his chair with a smirk crossing his legs.
“Dude I don’t know, I didn’t even talk to her but for some reason I find her gorgeous. Her hair is raven black and it falls right under her hip. She had the prettiest blue eyes, it was like staring into the ocean in Hawaii. Her smile…” I smile just thinking about her “It’s perfect, her lips looked like clouds and the way her whole face lifted when she did. I would give anything to see that smile again. Her dress hugged every curve and each one was perfect. Her legs were perfectly tanned and the perfect length for the rest of her. She is like a puzzle that was perfectly put together. Her only flaw was her ring but it was on her right hand so that must be a good sign…Right?”
Richie smiles “you have fallen hard for this chick. Good thing I knew you would.” He throws a file on my desk then stands up and leaves.
I open the folder and the first thing I see is a photo of her. I freeze, my breath stalls and the world stops spinning as I see her. God she is gorgeous. If I believed in god I would be praying to him right now to bring her to me. Maybe I will anyway. After about five minutes of studying her I continue to go through the file. I don’t find much but I find enough. Her name is Rose Little, she was born here in New York and still lives here. I found her address and found that she had been in and out of foster homes till she was ten, that is when she found a permanent family, the littles. She is 23, the same age as me. She works in the DownTown Cafe, where I first saw her. I smirk a bit at this information, guess I now drink coffee at the DownTown Cafe. As I continue going through the file only one thing stuck out to me, the ring she wears is the only thing that she got left with at the orphanage. This girl has been put through so much, I will make sure she doesn’t suffer another day in her life, she will forever have everything her heart desires. I stand up and press the call button on my office phone letting Richie know that I was leaving and I would be late tomorrow. I have a girl to meet and I know for a fact that she will save me more than I could ever save her.
