Mother Nature's Blessing
Mother Nature’s Blessing
The willow trees
Dance with the breeze,
And the rushing river
Is trying to whisper
A little secret
About mother nature’s spirit.
A little girl skips by,
Looking up at the sky,
Then she looks down,
To find so many beautiful things on the ground.
“Mother Nature has blessed this place.” She whispers,
As she sees the river glisten and glimmer.
She sees the colorful roses,
All in different poses.
She sighs
And almost cries,
For the beauty of this place
Is almost too much to face.
She hops and skips and jumps so high,
It’s almost like she can touch the sky.
The girl puts her feet in the river,
And feels a delightful shiver,
For this place is her own,
Hers and only hers alone.
The fish in the river jump and play,
While the girl says, “Oh I wish I could come here everyday.”
The girl withdraws her feet from the river, for they’re getting cold,
And she put them on a patch of sunlight that was the same color as gold.
The willow trees sway, brushing against the girls face,
Oh how she loved this place.
The sun shines bright,
As the girl nestles under the light,
But then she jumps up fast,
To enjoy this place while it lasts.
