Prologue
A little girl is playing in the backyard field of her house when suddenly a shock hits the surface of the planet as she felt it and looked around in search of answers, nothing out there shows what's happening, so she continues playing. Another shock hits the surface, but this time worse than the first one. Gallantia stands up and looks around again, noticing that her feet are heating up, she looks down and sees steam coming out of the ground. A strange occurrence on a planet that has no natural evaporation capabilities. She steps back as things start to shake again, but this time it doesn't stop. Suddenly she jumps and falls back as the ground rips open as things begin to shake continuously, Gallantia stares at the ripped ground that is traveling away from where it started. The ground is slowly moving as she takes steps backwards slowly. "GALLANTIA! INSIDE NOW!", her mother screams out of panic. Gallantia feels another shock beneath her as she starts running to the house, behind her the ground rips open like geysers following her. She jumps inside as the door is ripped out of the frame by a geyser on the doorstep. Gallantia sits on the floor next to her mother, looking back at the geyser that just happened at their house. "Mommy, what is happening?!", she asks out of shock. Her mother kneels down. "Nothing to worry about sweetie, but we have to get to safety!", as she picks Gallantia up and walks to the safe room in their house. She puts Gallantia down and turns on the radio. "The Global Government has declared a state of global emergency. This seems to be a potential extinction level event!", the radio woman says. "Extinction?", her mother questions. Gallantia looks at both her mother and the radio. "Is that bad?", she asks curiously. Her mother turns to her and kneels down. "It isn't that bad, but whatever happens, stay in the safe room, alright?", her mother says as she leaves the safe room to get supplies. Gallantia looks after her, but doesn't say a word.
Not much later a sudden rumbling can be heard above their house. This isn't like the geysers or the shocking of the planet, this is something else as if something arrived. Not much later she hears voices outside the saferoom, but her mother has not come back yet. She stands up and moves away from the door to the wall nervously. The doorknob is being rattled as the voice came closer. Gallantia doesn't know what to do and shivers a little bit. The door opens and there are several men standing in the doorway. "Come with us, it is not safe here!", one of the men says. Gallantia is very confused, but she complies and goes with the strange looking men. As they walk out of the house, the situation becomes apparent, the whole neighborhood is in ruins, objects are falling from the sky, explosions can be heard in the distance. But her mother is nowhere to be seen. Gallantia grows concerned for her mother and stops as the men keep walking. They turn around to see what's going on with her. Gallantia softly says "Where is my mommy?". One of the men walks towards her. "She'll be here soon, we will wait for her.", he says while extending a hand to her. Gallantia takes the men's hand and they walk into the ship that landed in the neighborhood. Gallantia realizes that is what the rumbling was. The ground begins to shake again. The men scatter as emergency lights blink red. "Get the engines ready, we don't have long before the planet goes exinct and we have to be gone before that happens!", the captain of the crew screams. Gallantia starts shaking again as she gets nervous for her mother. The captain looks at a few monitors and sees that they have to go now or it is too late. "We have to go NOW!", he screams as the engines on the back spew fire. Gallantia standing in the open gate of the ship looking at her neighborhood in fear of her mother shakes.
The ship begins to shake as well. Her mother comes out of a house and starts running to the ship when she sees her daughter there. "MOMMY!!", Gallantia screams. The captain of the ship looks back at the gate. "She isn't going to make it!", he screams to Gallantia as geysers follow her mother towards the ship. Explosions are also quickly coming closer. Gallantia gets tears in her eyes as she watches the explosions and geysers catch up to her mother. "NO!! MOMMY!!", she screams out in fear and hurt as her mother gets engulfed by an explosion. The ship lifts off, flying over the city. Gallantia falls on her knees with her arm extended outwards. "MOMMY!!!!!!", the captain looks back at Gallantia. "I'm sorry little one, she's gone...", he says. Gallantia makes fists, stands up and turns around as her eyes go white and she makes fists. The air around her starts to flow as her hair glows with sparkles. "Calm down Gallantia.", he says. She goes back to her normal state in an instant. "How do you know my name?", she asks him. The captain walks to her and kneels down on one knee. "Because I am your father.", he says. She takes a few steps back. "Y-You can't be, my dad is gone, he is dead.", she says with tears in her eyes. The man shows a tattoo on his arm, showing her name in a heart. "I am not dead. I had to leave for my crew.", he says. Gallantia looks at the tattoo and than at the other men. "What is all this about?", she says as she points to the entire ship. He stands up. "This is for my work. Which you will be part of as well.", he says. "You will be a great assassin and I will train you to be the best of all.", he continues. She looks at him not understanding what he meant. "Alright, but is Mommy really gone?", she asks. The man turns around as he walks back to the control station. "Yes, Gallantia, she is... Now, let's get to the base!", he says.
