The Angel And The Devil

For you, it was an amazing day. It feels like a dream to be living such a pleasant life. Days like this don’t seem real. Maybe it’s just a dream.

But why can’t it stay this way forever? Why can’t the dream be our reality?

It was one good thing after the other, and the angel peering over your shoulder seemed more present today. Some days you could hardly hear her whispers, but today, she was all you heard.

The angel represents everything good in your life. She whispers to you the right, moral things to do. She points out what you should be grateful for, and she motivates you. Her influence on your life is great, and she’s always proud of you. Days like this show you that it’s not so bad living your life. Even as a cashier at a coffee shop, when you long for something more, it’s not so bad. The angel reminds you.

The old man orders your favorite: iced vanilla latte. It reminds you that maybe you should treat yourself to one later on. After paying and receiving his drink, he smiles, and he slides it over to you.

“Thank you for being such a kind person, this one’s on me. Have a great day!” The man even drops a few dollars in the tip jar before leaving. You couldn’t be more surprised and happy. What a lucky day it is. You take a sip of the coffee and smile. Again, it’s always one good thing after the other. You notice the angel on your right shoulder, and thank her.
