Collection of Short Poetry #1
I never knew it’d be like this.
All of the faces I’ve met,
Who knew one day, they’d end up being who I miss.
Never knew faces would be temporary, all of the memories and love.
They’re in my life as some type of lesson I guess, but it’s tough.
I never wanted to lose anyone in my life on purpose, but shit happens unexpected.
Now I’m sitting by myself,
With all the memories I’ve recollected.
It upsets me because everything I loved, I protected.
But all these faces I speak of,
They’re disconnected.
Not even family will stick forever long.
Shit happens and I don’t know why,
but they’re gone; and I still go on
as I visit in my memories.
All the friendship I made, guess that didn’t last too.
It’s all just part of life, what are you gonna do?
At least I can thank you for the good times we had, it was fun.
Sometimes I just wish we can have a re-run.
It’s a hard truth to see, but it just has to be part of life.
There’s nothing we can do,
Everything dies out on it’s own time.
All we can do is be grateful for the current moment,
things will change suddenly before you know it.
Everything is temporary, pain and love and all in between,
we learn from it as we can,
Some day we’ll find out what it all means.
