Luna, a working housewife in her mid-50s, always took pride in balancing her professional and personal life. Her heart swelled with pride for her 17-year-old son, Theodore, who was not only an academic achiever but also well-respected by his peers and teachers. His bright smile and courteous behavior were constant reassurances to Luna about her parenting.
However, one sunny Sunday, her confidence was shattered. In Theodore’s room, she stumbled upon diaries he had been secretly maintaining. The initial pages were filled with innocuous daily events and friendly interactions. But as she delved deeper, the content grew disturbing. Theodore’s words revealed a darker side, detailing his harsh judgments of those around him, including family.
One particular entry, recounting his cruel treatment of their pet cat, left Luna horrified. The diaries exposed his lack of empathy, his pleasure in others’ suffering, and an unsettling detachment from his own actions. The realization of Theodore’s potential danger weighed heavily on Luna.
