The History Of Pakistani Flag

The history of the flag of Pakistan is closely tied to the history of the country itself. Pakistan’s flag has undergone several changes since the inception of the nation. Here’s a brief overview of the history of the Pakistani flag:

1.Pre-Independence: Before the creation of Pakistan, the region was part of British India, and there was no official flag representing the territory. The area now known as Pakistan was under British colonial rule.

2.Independence and First Flag (1947): Pakistan gained independence from British rule on August 14, 1947, and a flag was hoisted on this day. The first flag of Pakistan was designed by Syed Amir-uddin Kedwai and was hoisted by Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s first Prime Minister. It featured a dark green background with a white vertical stripe on the left side, which represented the Muslim majority. In the center of the white stripe, a white crescent and a five-pointed star were placed.

3.Change in Flag Design (1947): The initial flag design was slightly modified in 1947. The size and placement of the star and crescent in the white stripe were adjusted, and the flag’s proportions were standardized.

4.Change in Flag Design (1980): On August 14, 1980, Pakistan adopted a new flag design, which remains the current flag of the country. The green background and the white stripe remained the same, but the design of the crescent and star was changed. The star was changed from a five-pointed star to a five-pointed star inscribed in a five-pointed star, and the size and position of the crescent were altered.

5.Symbolism: The flag of Pakistan has deep symbolism. The dark green field represents the Muslim majority in the country, as green is considered a symbol of Islam. The white stripe symbolizes the religious minorities and religious tolerance in Pakistan. The crescent represents progress and the star symbolizes the light of knowledge.

6.Flag Usage: The flag of Pakistan is used in various official and non-official capacities, including government buildings, national ceremonies, and is also displayed by citizens on national holidays and special occasions.

The flag of Pakistan is a symbol of the nation’s identity and independence and holds significant importance in the country’s history and culture.

National Anthem(Quomi Trana)

A national anthem, often referred to as “Quomi Taranah” in Urdu, is a patriotic song or hymn that is recognized and officially adopted by a country as a symbol of its national identity and pride. National anthems are typically played or sung on various occasions that hold national significance, such as state ceremonies, sporting events, and other gatherings that celebrate the nation.

The purpose of a national anthem is to instill a sense of unity, patriotism, and pride among the citizens of a country. It serves as a musical representation of the country’s history, culture, values, and aspirations. National anthems are meant to evoke a strong emotional connection to one’s homeland and to foster a sense of national identity.

National anthems are often selected through a formal process, and their lyrics and music are chosen to reflect the unique characteristics and history of the nation. In many cases, they embody themes of freedom, sacrifice, unity, and love for the homeland. National anthems play a significant role in expressing and celebrating a nation’s shared heritage and values.

A nation can never make progress unless it marches in one formation. We are all Pakistanis and citizens of the state and we should serve, sacrifice and die for the State so that we may make it the most glorious and sovereign State in the world.

Before you make a Decision… “Think a Hundred(100) times before you take a decision, but once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man.” A common quality of the greatest people history has witnessed is that once they commit, they never turn their back on it.

Without Education it is complete darkness and with Education it is light. Education is a matter of Life and Death to our Nation. The world is moving so fast that if you do not educate yourselves you will be not only completely left behind but will be finished up.

Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.”

“You learn something every day if you pay attention.”

“If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.”

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Success is No Accident.

Success is Not Final, Failure is Not Fatal: it is the Courage to Continue that Counts.

Don’t Count the Days, Make the Days Count.

He Who is Not Courageous Enough to Take Risks Will Accomplish Nothing in Life.

Don’t Wait for Opportunity, Create it.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
