The Search
*The desolate roads were shrouded in an eerie wind that carried the scent of death and despair. A lone figure traversed this world, torn apart by warring factions and engulfed in anarchy. He was a young man whose eyes reflected a blend of sadness and determination. His sole purpose: to track down his lost brother and nothing else.
As the sun dipped beneath the horizon, casting long shadows that seemed to stretch into eternity, the young man's thoughts were consumed by one name: Ethan. His brother had vanished into the night, leaving behind a cryptic message involving danger and the presence of an ominous third party, one that could potentially threaten their very existence.
With each step, the weight of uncertainty pressed upon him. The unforgiving streets of his upbringing had instilled in him an unwavering loyalty to his family alone.*
The young man knew that he needed to start his search in the heart of the upcoming chaos. The home he had spent so many years building, had been violated, its possessions rifled through. A shiver ran down his spine as he examined the wreckage. Perhaps his brother had struggled against his captors. There was an unsettling feeling that someone or something could be in the room with him. Could it be that they wanted not only his brother but him as well? It would make sense, after all, considering his control over Aburama nation, a city even the government dared not interfere with.
Gritting his teeth, he picked up the discarded note, its words hastily scrawled: "They came back for me—do not follow." The thought rushed through his mind, 'what could this possibly mean, but he has not even stepped out before so who has come back for him?' as he placed the note down. He confirmed that it was not a matter of voluntary alliance but rather an action imposed on his brother, or something else he didn't know of.
" who are they, and again?", he couldn't shake it out of him
There was a moment of solitude, then three figures with torn scarves covering their faces emerged, standing before the young man as if to block his exit from the building. An unspoken aggression hung in the air, and he felt it as a hammer in his chest.
One of them sneered sarcastically and angrily, "where do you think he would end up?"
A fierce determination burned in his eyes as he responded, "Where is he?" Silence enveloped the room as the three figures remained tight-lipped. Ballista sighed and with inhuman speed, he incapacitated them, rendering them unconscious and continued on his journey.
Although he made it appear effortless, it had taken a toll on him. Looking at the defeated figures, who now slept peacefully, reminded him that his brother was out there, possibly being tormented or worse. His blood boiled as he grabbed a dagger from one of the figures and prepared to confront whoever had laid a finger on his brother. Perhaps they were unaware of his power.
