Chapter 1
Jake walks in wearing a black jacket and pants with a drink in hand and leans on the wall as I'm sitting on the couch listening to music in my oversized hoodie and shorts.
"You just gonna sit around all day listening to your death metal?" "Maybe" "What's been up with you lately?" I look at Jake "does it matter?"
"Yes" "I don't want to talk about it."
"Well too bad I'm your brother and I want to help" "..." "Was it a guy do I need to teach him a lesson?" "No" "was it those girls again?" "No, it's just that I'm---" Jake raises an eyebrow "You'r what?" "Never mind just forget it" "No. Tell me." "Just drop it!" Jake sighs "Fine but I'm here when you want to talk" Jake walks off.
That night I threw my phone across my room "UGH!" Jake walks in and looks at me "What was that about?" "Don't worry about it" Jake sighs and puts an arm around me "Tell me" "..." Jake sighs "Was it those girls again?" "Yes" Jake nods and walks over to my phone and picks it up he freezes at the text "Rain..........what is this"
He says as he looks at me confused "Uh" Jake looks at the text again "Your.....Rain explain" "I uh...." Jake raises an eyebrow waiting for an answer. I sigh "I'm..........gay." Jake nods and hugs me "your not mad" "Why would I be mad?" "Well everyone else-----"Jake cuts me off
"No don't believe what those haters say you are the strongest most badass girl I know." I smile at him "Really" "Yes you want to know a secret?" "Yah"
"I'm gender fluid so I know exactly what you're going through" I hig him "It's great to have someone who understands me." "Yah now get some sleep I'll talk to the girls in the morning I promise" "ok thanks" I lay down and Jake walks out, and I hear him say "Poor thing" he shuts the door.
