Forbidden, Tender, and Completely Unhinged
"Five stars, obviously, although I would like to file a formal complaint regarding the number of times this story made me believe everyone was finally safe before immediately proving me wrong. I started Just For You expecting a forbidden romance about a priest falling in love. What I got was an intensely emotional love story wrapped inside a runaway thriller, with found family, corrupt police, dangerous men, and enough escalating chaos to keep me reading far later than I intended. The strongest part of this story is the absolute devotion between Christian and Esme. Christian does not love cautiously or conveniently. Once he finally chooses her, he chooses every part of her life without making her feel like a burden. His tenderness with Esme and his immediate love for her baby gave the romance a depth that went far beyond attraction. Their relationship feels protective, vulnerable, passionate, and wonderfully consuming. Esme was the character who truly held my heart, though. She begins the story believing she is damaged and undeserving of anything better, but her vulnerability never makes her weak. Watching her slowly find her voice, recognize her own worth, and begin fighting for the life she wants was incredibly satisfying. Her growth felt especially meaningful because the story never pretended that love instantly erased everything she had survived. I also adored the supporting characters. The found-family element brought so much warmth and humor into an otherwise very dark story. Every time the danger became overwhelming, and reminded me that Esme and Christian were no longer alone. Their banter and chaotic loyalty gave the story some of its most enjoyable moments. The pacing is fast, dramatic, and unapologetically wild. Every time I thought the situation had reached its possible limit, the author cheerfully raised it again. Apparently, a forbidden priest romance can lead to secret safe houses, media warfare, a courtroom battle, and an actual tank. I respect the commitment to chaos, even if my nerves do not. This story contains some extremely painful subject matter, but at its heart, it is about surviving long enough to discover that love, safety, and family can still exist after terrible things have happened. It is dramatic, tender, suspenseful, and full of characters willing to risk everything for one another. Five stars for making me furious, frightened, emotional, and completely invested. Now I would like Christian and Esme to receive the peaceful little home and boringly happy future they deserve. No more gangs. No more guns. Absolutely no more tanks. "

"Love the plot of the story and how author gave life to it. While reading I felt like I’m living with them and also fighting for freedom along with them. I love all the characters how they helped each other. Especially Christian he is really slow to accept his feelings towards esme but he really has big heart. If anyone looking for romance and action at the time with allies they can it a try to this book. Author really write very well."
