Late to the story
"Though I’m 2 yrs late to this story I will of course weigh in. The story caught my attention in the beginning due to the fact that the backdrop was an antique book store; how I truly do love to read... As the story progressed I realized that Dominic and Samael is the same person which made me read further. I like the whole demon/devil take on the story and the storyline leading up to the ending.... It’s kind of the ending I have a wee bit of an issue with. Though I like HEA endings, with this story however, I would have preferred a slight confrontation between Samael and Gabriel about Embry; more detail about the Angel assigned to the mfc. That being said I love the way the story is written, and the plot. This story has been worth reading and I am hoping to find that her other books are as intriguing as this one."

"I seem to be a dark reader because I find myself drawn to books like this and this one did not disappoint. The main female, Ember, has had a rough go at life but she kept going on and living while being dedicated to her bookstore. Dominic, main male slowly swoops in making his presence more known. I enjoyed the slow buildup that wasn't drawn out over 45 chapters with endless internal monologue. This story packed a lot in a short read. It was satisfying finding out what was in that safe toward the end. Not what I expected but it was juicy! I would totally be here and ready to read more in a series, especially about the challenge mentioned to see how that ends up! Great read. Thank you for sharing."
