The world was saved, they are loved, it's what Mikey and his brothers have always wanted. Their father Splinter is still spilt in half of how the humans were treating them. But he did get his leg fixed up and put in a cast. Mikey and his brothers did get their shells check out by a vet and they were happy enough to patch them up free of cost. After that Splinter eased up a bit before enrolling them into the same school their new human friend April attends. They all are rightfully excited, the one thing they wanted in life is becoming true, being liked by the members of the public, to go to school and become a student and learn about the real world.
Mikey is the most excited of them all, He doesn't try to hide his excitement. Being young is playing its part but most of it is coming from school. mainly when it comes to clubs; Donnie is in a science club, Leo in some type of dungeons and dragons club and Raph is a part of the wrestling club and many other sports which are just for extra credit. Mikey is the only one apart of the theater club, a club which is often made fun of. Mikey doesn't care, he knows what he learns in the club he can use at home -- He would be lying if he said he doesn't -- He uses them a lot, mainly during augment's or when he breaks something. Skin hitting skin is heard throughout the whole layer and then Mikey yelling, making his voice crack and then cry.
"Donnie hit me!"
His crocodile tears start, and Leo believes it, yelling out 'You didn't need to hit him!' and Don yelling back, trying to protect himself. Mikey is still fake crying, he uses this moment to run off to his room, holding his hand to his not injured right cheek. He jumps into bed and hides his face into his pillow, crying into it. Soon Raph believes the fake tears, starting to yell at Donnie. As expected, Splinter had to step in and stop them before a fist fight started. But Splinter does check on Mikey, concerned and wanting to see if he is okay. Before he looks up from the pillow, he did manage to put some tear marks on it.
He knows he can fool them all... That is until they find his stuff or find out it is only make up. That day Donnie did find Mikey's cry stick in the front pocket of his school bag, which he grabbed and held it up, shouting that the tears are in fact fake and that he didn't smack him. Mikey just smiles and laughs, the rest of his family groaning and apologizing to Donnie. He knows it won't work one day and it will get old so for now he is having as much fun with it as humanely possible, well as much as a mutant turtle can do. The day he learnt about make up and how it's used to make injurie such as bruises and clay used for open wounds like a sword, knife and even gun shout wounds. That day he used it to his power.
He goes into the bathroom and pulls his mask down; he pulls out the makeup and starts to make her right eye out that he has been punched, leaving him with a black eye. He grabs some clay and places it around his eye, making it look like it is swollen and causing him pain. Today's victim; Raph. If he tried this on Donnie, he would just call him out for lying, Leo would try and pull him to the school's nurse who could give him an ice pack or even send me to hospital, maybe even contact Splinter and the principal. He manages to tie his mask back around his head, it covers the make-up and clay.
He this time grab the cry stick and rubs it under his eyes and his eye lid. He can cry on cue but needing the stick helps as he is still learning, He knows he is close to mastering it, he is sure of it. He grabs all of his things, placing them back in his bag, he makes sure to put his jumper on top of them, so it's the first thing Raph sees if he ever tries to go through it. He knows he has to act fast because it will be only a matter of seconds till Raph catches on. His only worry is that something could go wrong in some way, he can't work out what. He zips his bag up and runs off to find Raph, By the time he finds him football club just ended and Mikey is already in the start of his fake tears.
"RAPHHHHH"
He cries running over to his big brother, hugging him tight. Raph is confused at first, but scanning his body he sees Mikey's swollen eye hidden under his orange mask. His face grows red with anger, someone has hurt his youngest brother, and he won't stand for it.
"Who done this."
Those words took Mikey by surprise, he knows he didn't think this far, and he can't give out any name in case someone in the school has that name. He hasn't made any enemies or bullies, and he doesn't want to make any over a silly little prank. He tries to tell Raph that it's no one important but he keeps asking who it was that hurt him, he got angry more and more he asked. He needs to work out how to calm him down before he hurts someone or himself. Even if it meant coming clean. He takes in a deep breath and holds it for a couple of seconds.
"IT'S MAKEUP!"
Mikey shouts over Raph's nagging, Raph just looks at Mikey, shocked. His face soon turns into anger, He was tricked by Mikey, tricked which almost led to him beating an innocent kid. His face grows red and warm. Mikey braces himself for Raph to yell. Mikey does flinch when Raph yells.
"IT WAS A PRANK!?"
There it is Raph and his anger. Mikey doesn't like his anger, but he did just try and prank him on a serious matter. Someone he knows or doesn't know could have gotten hurt, Raph could have done something extreme and beat someone up and get expelled. He watches as Raph storms off, possibly to his final class for the day. Mikey follows pretty far behind him as by the time he gets to his class its already 30 minutes into it. He looks up on the sign 'Math'. Of course, it is. A class with all three of his brothers. He scans the room before seeing his brothers, all three of them not looking impressed at all.
He just takes his shell to the only seat left, with the math nerds, minus, Donnie, at the front of the class. He can feel the stares his brothers are giving them. Only if looks could kill, he would probs have a giant hole in his shell right now. Throughout the rest of the class, he just puts his head down and does his work. He tries his best to ignore them, he feels guilty, he just doesn't know how to tell them. By the time class does end he stays back to learn what he missed in the first 30 minutes. By the time he leaves its night out and no one is around.
He places his stuff in his bag and zips it up, he however holds his bag close to him, tight, new york at night is a hot spot for crime. He stops as some kids from school jump out in front of him. He takes some steps back. He does regonise them as the school's bullies, people he never wants to talk to or about. He knows school doesn't allow any weapons, but he still feels around for them and as expected he doesn't have them. He does turn around try to run but to his surprise the bully and his friends have circled him.
It is scary for him, but they do start to throw punches, some kicks and others even bites and pinches. He tries to fight back but they overpower him with more numbers. BY the time they finish he doesn't know the time and he has passed out about four different times. All over his body is bruises. Real bruises and possibly a concussion. He hurts all over, his bag is torn open, and his things lie all across the footpath. He slowly picks them up and holds his bag close to him and holds it shut. He doesn't know how but he manages to climb down into the sewers and pull the cover over. He limbs to the lair, he tries to come in quietly but to his surprise Splinter is awake still.
He doesn't say anything, he just goes to his shared room with his brother, he throws his bag on the floor and climbs under the covers of his bed. He does hear his brother telling him 'Nice makeup', 'learn more about injuries in the club today?', and 'stayed after school for the club I see'. He doesn't answer them, and they don't say anything else. He knew they won't believe him even if he did say something.
Wow, I love how vividly you captured Mikey’s mischievous side and the sibling dynamics it really feels like the Turtles could step right off the page! How do you come up with the balance between humor and serious moments, and do you plan to explore more of Mikey navigating school life with his brothers watching over him?
I adore how your story pulls readers in and refuses to let go. your recent plot development was a turning point that felt raw and real,it showed the strength of your writing. This isn’t just a story, it’s an experience. I’m so eager to see where you take it next. Truly beautiful work!
