Lilith Anderson’s POV
I have been attending this academy for a few months now since I got accepted with my scholarship for academia to attend Graceland Academy.
I know my scholarship is being paid by one of the many crime families to rule over the united kingdom, and yet after meeting with the Scottish Don of the McIntyre Clan, I knew right away he was a good man even if he can kill with a blink of an eye.
I was not scared, as I have been through worst conditions and I understood the need to work my way through school, allowing for him to pay for my education and giving me a better life.
I was overjoyed and willing to earn me keep, yet Mr. McIntyre did not want me to owe him anything, when all I ever did was save his life on the plane ride from Arizona to Scotland.
He told me, I have already paid my due with him, and now he wants to pay for my education along with his three sons who attend the academy.
I quickly wrote down everything my professor was telling the whole class, during his lecture when the door was slammed right open and three very large, over six feet tall muscular men made there way inside the classroom and taking their seats in the back of the room.
I for one, kept my eyes downwards, not wanting any attention on me when I can hear the other female students giggle and talk amongst themselves.
I for one, just continued to keep up with my class work, ignoring the chatter and the men who have entered the room with there strong presence, demanding the attention from the female population in the room.
“Alright, I will be handing out the work sheets that I want done before class ends!” our professor barked out, walking around the room, and handing out the worksheet.
I told him a small thank you, taking the worksheet in my hands and began to start on it, knowing I will have finish before anyone else.
Twenty minutes later I was finished and handing in my worksheet, carrying my old worn our baby blue shoulder messenger bag that I have stitched up over the years since I was a young girl.
I hefted up on my slim, dainty shoulders, letting the strap rest across my chest resting to lay against my hip, clutching my textbooks to my chest.
“Well, Lilith, you may go now to attend you next to class.”
I shyly nodded to my professor, leaving the room quickly to make it to my next class, that was on the other side of the academy.
I may be, five foot two with a small stature with curves and a slim waist that I hide underneath my school uniform, just like I have done back in high school, back in Arizona.
I was assaulted back where I had lived before, when I was only fourteen years old, knowing that my body will attract the wrong kind of perpetrators in these world.
Shaking my head to rid myself of the dark thoughts of my past, I quickly walked into my next class which was biology. I took my seat near the front of the empty room, knowing I will need to see if I have any way to pay for a new pair reading glasses to help me see better in every one of my classes when the professors’ write on the boards.
I carefully set up my notebook that is used for this class alone, along with my textbook, and I gently placed my messenger bag on the back of my chair, with my small little wallet that holds my whole life in it, along with the money I have from working my job at the café near the academy.
I put my small wallet in in the bottom of my shoe, not letting Jessica and her friends take it from me once again, as they told me I owe them money for being the poor orphan girl that no one loves.
I re fixed my long, dirty blonde hair back into a messy bun wearing my work uniform, after cleaning table after table, taking orders and helping the people coming and going while I work my job at Berry Blue Café.
“Orphan bitch, you will close tonight, and I am leaving to attend the twins party at the McIntyre Estate.” I stared at Brittany one of Jessica’s friends, and knowing what would happen if I were to say no.
They will make sure I deal with the harsh beatings from there older brothers who hate me for no reason, and knowing them, they must have told them lies to have it happen all the time.
“Yes, Brittany.” I shyly told her, feeling the same anxious feeling of fear that I have yet to get over since I was assaulted years ago.
I closed the café, locking it up behind me when I shivered from the cold air, feeling the breeze go through my thin clothing and I looked up to see the moon, and the bright stars that I love to see every night I walk home from work.
I hummed lightly to myself, hugging my school bag close to my chest feeling the cold air, and shivering once again wishing that I could one day have the money to pay for warmth to come into my small run down one-bedroom apartment.
I walked into my apartment complex when I froze seeing Andy and his friends waiting by my door with metal bats in their hands and I felt my tears run down my face knowing if I run, they will catch me and make it ten times worst with there beatings.
I do not understand why they would harm a young woman, laughing at her screams and begging them to stop over and over feeling each hit, one after another.
I quickly noticed they had no idea I was there, and that gave me a little hope to run and hide for the night, even if they have yet to find me, they will do it at school, and no one will ever save me from the world of pain when it comes to Andy and his friends.
I winced from the pain in my side, knowing my ribs are in terrible shape after the close call of Andy beating me this morning before I ran off towards the library where I love to hide out in to take care of my wounds.
I sat on the floor hugging my knees to my chest, letting out a small quiet sob, feeling the warmth from my tears, feeling how tired and sore I am from Andy and his friends.
I had to somehow hide my swollen face from everyone, and even if they saw it, no one would give a damn and not even the dean will help me. I am just an orphan girl, with no way to fight against those who have money and can buy there way free from anything.
My body froze, and I could not stop flinching with my heart racing when I felt a warm large hand placed upon my head, running their hand down my hair, and cooing softly in my ear, when I realized I was now sitting upon someone’s lap.
I slowly opened my eyes, peeking up at the one who held me and was rocking us back and forth with me curled up on them. My eyes widen slightly, seeing a very handsome man, with sharp piercing green eyes, round face with a sharp angled jawline with thin arched red eyebrows and long crooked nose and thick shoulder length red hair and full lips.
I noticed he had a scar running through his left eyebrow, and I could not take my eyes off, of this roguishly handsome man.
“Aye, lass. Are ye alright?” I shyly looked down, trying to hide my blushing face, after hearing his deep timber voice and accent.
“I-I, I am sorry.” I gently whispered out, trying to use the back of my small hands to wipe away my tears and clean off the wetness on my cheeks.
“Shh, lass. No need to apologize. What I want to know, is who had hurt ye and bruised your beautiful face.” I sniffled, crawling off his lap, to curl into myself, not knowing how to hand something like this, when no one has ever wanted to help me.
“W-who are you?” I stuttered out, staring at the giant of a man, who was now staring at me with some unknown emotion in his eyes. I can see how his hands were now clenched into fists and I knew he was angry, seeing this happen all the time growing up.
“Well, lass. My name is Alexander McIntyre. Now, you know my name, can ye tell me yours and what happened?” I wrapped my arms around my knees, hiding my face into my arms shaking slightly from fear, knowing if Jessica ever find’s out I was speaking with one of the golden boys of our school my beatings would be worse.
Yet, I felt safe when he held me and I have never had that feeling ever in my life, feeling like I could tell him everything and he would protect me from all that would want me harmed. I peeked up at him, with a warm blush on my cheeks, when his face was so close to my own, that I could not help the sound that came out of my mouth.
“Oh, sweet lass.” I whined out, hearing his deep amused chuckled, feeling his heavy hand running through my hair. “Now, sweetheart. Tell me why ye were crying and have a bruise on your face.” His deep voice was soft, and his touch was gentle I could not hold back from wanting to feel the feeling of safety when he held me before.
Without realizing what I was doing, I clung to him crying against his broad muscular chest telling him everything, from when I was little to what was happening now.
“Shh, my sweet little angel. You will never have to fear anything ever again, I will handle them all and you are now under my protection.” Alexander softly told me, kissing the top of my head, arranging me to sit upon his lap as we cuddled and talked about everything, when the last bell of the day rang, I knew what was going to wait for me at home, and I could not stop the fear from consuming my mind.

loving the story so far. although there seems to be a pattern with repeat names of characters in nearly all her stories.
