Janeen woke up. She went downstairs. "Hey dad." "Hey sweety." Her dad said looking up from a newspaper. "Mh mh mh." He said shaking his head. "What?" "The news is crazy." "Dad. Instead of purchasing all of those newspapers. You could just watch the news on the TV." "Please. I don't have time for all that stupid electrical stuff when I can do it the easy way. All that electric stuff is tiring." "Right. Well I'm off to Jacarius' house." "Alright. Well have fun I guess. But before you do that you need to change out of your PJs." "Oh! Right!" Janeen quickly ran up the steps. Janeen was a 16 year old with a bestfriend. The best bestfriend ever. Although, there was a problem. Janeen put on some blue jeans and a crop top that stopped a little above her waist. Her father hated her wearing crop tops. So they made a deal where she could wear them if they were long. She walked out of the house. It took her a few minutes to get to his house. She knocked on the door. Luckily Jacarius' mother opened the door. "Hey. Come in." She walked in. "Um Jacarius is a little busy. He said he was having an outing." "And he didn't invite me?" His mother-Jada-shrugged. Janeen called him. It went to voicemail. Janeen sighed. "How could he have an outing without me?" "It's ok. I'm sure there is a great reason. You want some cookies?" Janeen's mood lit up. "Sure." "Great." Jacarius sighed. "Of course not. I've told you this over and over." "Are you sure?" "Very sure. She'll love you." The girl smiled. "I hope so." When Jacarius walked into the house he saw his mother eating cookies with Janeen. "Oh Jacarius. Your finally back." Janeen turned around. Her heart dropping. "Who is your guest?" His mother said with a wide smile. "My girlfriend." That was the problem. Janeen wasn't shocked but at the same time she was. Jacarius always was able to get a girlfriend in days thanks to his looks and irresistible charm. "Hi." "Hello. You can call me Jada." Jacarius started to put his focus on Janeen. "When did you get here?" "Um. A few moments ago. But I'm on my way out- You're his sister?" "No. We're just friends. I live a couple streets away." "Oh. Nice to meet you." "Yeah. Same." "Cookies anyone?" "Love to." Janeen stood up and walked out the house. "Not again." She repeated to herself. What is it with her life? "How can you just leave and not say bye? And leave when I just got here?" She glanced at him and shrugged. "No reason." "Ok. Great. Come on." "...- Come on." He grabbed her hand. Her heart started rushing. "Please?" "..ok." He smiled. "Great." They walked back into the house.
The next day
Jacarius quickly got up. Ready for school. He texted his girlfriend Candice.
Jacarius: I'll see you at school. K?
Candice: K.
Jacarius put his phone in his pocket and headed over to Janeen's house. She was walking out the door. "Hey." "..hey." "Glad I didn't have to wait for you this time. Normally you take forever." "I do not!" "Mhm. If you say so." They went to school. Candice walked over. "Hey you two." "Hey." "Hey." Candice stood next to Jacarius, her hand in his. Jacarius glanced at Janeen-who's head was down. "...you good?" "Yeah. I just got to do something." She stepped away from them. Jacarius watched her for a minute as she walked in the different direction. "You good babe?" "..yeah." He kissed her. Eventually everyone made it to class. Janeen stared at the chalk board. Waiting for class to start. She sighed. "What's up with you?" He said sitting next to her. Just so you know, him and Candice don't have the same classes except for one. "Nothing." "You sure?" "Yeah." "You were looking down. You never look down unless your upset." "I'm fine." She said with a forced smile. "When did you two start dating? You never really spoke about her to me." "Oh. Some days ago." "But you got out of a relationship a week ago." "I know. That's crazy right?" "..yeah." Class started. Eventually school was over. "I'm gonna walk Candice home. I'll see you later." "Mhm." He walked away meeting up with Candice. She turned away and went on her way. She decided to go to a nearby store. She needed some headphones to get away from her thoughts once and a while. Janeen searched up and down the place for the aisle. Luckily she found one and went to go pay. "You find everything well?" "Yeah." "13.95." She paid and went home. She laid back on the couch and started setting it up. "What took you so long?" "Oh. I went to the store." "With Jacarius?" "No. He walked Candice home- So you went by yourself?" "Yeah." "Janeen- Dad. Please save me the lecture. I'm fine. You don't have to worry. And before you know it Joclyn will be here." Her father smiled. "Ah yes. My second child." "Yep." "She's finally from college...so? What you get from the store?" "Headphones." "Why?" "Because. It helps me zone out. And just like you I like music." "Mhm." Some hours later. Someone knocked on the door. Her father opened it. "Hey dad!" "What in the world of Jesus' name are you wearing!" "Dad. Chill. Sissy!" Joclyn said running to Janeen hugging her tightly. "Hey." Joclyn squealed. By the way Joclyn is 24. "So? Are you and Jay a thing now?" Jay is short Jacarius. "Um. No." "Why not?" She said confused. "He has a girlfriend." "Oh. Poor child. It's ok. He'll come around." Her father had a sturn look on his face. "Dad. It's a wonderful outfit. I got it on sale." "Are those even shorts?" "Yes. They stop halfway up my thigh. You don't have to exaggerate." "Exaggerate!" "Oh! I have to see Jay. Come on Sissy! You have to come with. I have a car by the way. Ee! Isn't that exciting! My boyfriend got it for me- Boyfriend?" "Love you dad. We'll be back before dark." Joclyn pulled Janeen out of the house. They got in the car. "So? Like I was saying. I have a boyfriend. We met in college. And like..mh. He is so fine~. He like has this tattoo that starts at his chest and goes down. With black earrings. He's like..emo. But hot as hell." "..." "Oh. I'm so sorry. I been going on and on about my boyfriend. Why haven't you confessed for Jay yet?" "Because he keeps getting in relationships." "No way. Is he really that hot now?" "Um." "Come on now. We're sisters. You can tell me anything..." "Yeah." "Cool. Have you and dad had 'the talk' yet- Ew! Stop it! I don't want to hear another word about that." "Guess that's a yes." They got out the car and Joclyn knocked eagerly. "Joclyn?" "Hi Jada! Oh my! You look the same as always." "Thank you." They walked into the house. "Where's Jay?" "Jacarius!" "One minute!" He came up to the living room. "Oh my. I see what you mean." Joclyn said in a low tone where only Janeen could hear. Jacarius smiled. "Damn." "Oh. Thanks for the compliment. I know. I had like a major glow up. But paws off. I have a boyfriend." Joclyn looked at Jada. "Could we steal him for the day?" Jada shrugged. "K. Let's go. Unless your busy with your girlfriend." "I'm free." "Good." They all went to the car.Start writing here…
