~•Foreword•~
Cold, icy and cruel, it soaked into his bones making him feel like a block of ice, he couldn't move, he didn't feel his legs or enough strength to try to stand up, he felt faint. He heard a persistent ringing in his left ear, it bothered him, but he couldn't do anything, he felt as if hundreds of metal needles were embedded in his skull, his chest tightened and it was difficult for him to breathe. He was fighting for his life although he didn't remember how he got himself into this situation.
He managed to open his eyes with great effort, he saw the ground and… fire. He was face up on the asphalt and didn't know where he was, he managed to see debris, everything was destroyed and being engulfed by flames. Even with his blurred vision he managed to see the remains of… a car? Was he on a road? How did he get there? He didn't understand anything, everything was so confusing, like a black hole in his memory.
He tried to take a small breath but suddenly gasped when he felt pain in his abdomen, at first slight, then unbearable, sharp and painful. He couldn't scream in pain, he couldn't breathe either, he felt his throat close and then like drowning in a thick liquid that dripped from his mouth.
He continued to feel cold, the humming did not stop, nor did the sound of the flames burning everything, to this was added an agonizing and muffled scream followed by his labored breathing, his life was slipping through his fingers.
He heard footsteps, they were calm as they became louder and louder, whatever was emitting those steps was approaching. He moved his eyes in fear and, with his extremely blurred vision, he saw a silhouette, he couldn't recognize who it was, but managed to see two bright spots sapphire colored where their eyes were supposed to be.
-Sssssshhh, it'll be over soon, I'm so sorry my dear- the unknown silhouette told him with a dull voice full of pain. His little strength was abandoning him, he was suffering spasms from lack of air and pain, he felt like he was under freezing water and drowning in his own blood until, giving one last gasp, one last effort, one last sigh, he finally closed his eyes, letting himself be swallowed by darkness.
