My Living Nightmare

We were finally here, we had both finally left our relatives behind to pursue our dreams, to live in the crowded lit up city of Tokyo. The wind blew past me and I watched as hundreds, thousands, of people walked past. Now I was not the type to like crowded cities, but Ria really wanted to live in Tokyo and deep down, I did want to see what the place was like at night, the lights shining and the cars racing. I definitely wasn’t as persistent as Ria, but we had spoken strongly about moving in with each other for the past three years, and had come to it one day. Tonight was going to be a big night; Ria had heard that there were car races every night, and that two of the most dangerous gangs were battling each other tonight, and Ria being the type to follow danger insisted we go.

“I can’t believe we’re finally here” Ria squealed from beside me, grabbing a hold of my arm and squeezing it.

“Neither can I” I said looking up at all the skyscrapers.

“There’s the taxi” Ria said as she grabbed her luggage and started hauling it over to the taxi.

I followed behind, also struggling with all my heavy suitcases. “How far is it to the apartment?” I asked while throwing my bags into the trunk of the car.

“About an hour,” She said as she hopped inside the car.

I followed suit and buckled my belt after getting in. As we made our way through the city I watched all the cars and people, there were so many people. An hour and 20 minutes later we were at our new little apartment. It was nothing flash, but it was all we needed to start off our new lives. We entered the house and I ran around curiously like a child. “Yes, two bathrooms!” I cheered, causing Ria to laugh.

I threw my luggage into my room and grabbed the small CD player I brought with us, I plugged it all in and then put on one of my many CDs to dance around to. I jumped and swayed causing my red hair to whip me in the face now and then, I stopped when I felt a pair of hands on me. “Taylor, concentrate, we have to go out now.”

“Why?” I asked. “We just got here”

“Because we have to find out where the gangs are meeting up”

“What’s so cool about these gangs?” I said, annoyed at the fact I have to leave the apartment already.

Ria scoffed “They are just the most famous people from Tokyo”

“Then why haven’t I heard of them?” I crossed my arms and put out my left leg.

Ria took a seat and I stayed put watching her closely “They aren’t movie star famous, there only known among racers and Tokyo, most people fear them”

“Who’s them?” I asked, annoyed.

“All I know is there a gang of four men, and they are the most dangerous and feared gang known in Tokyo, they race cars and just have fun I guess”

“So why do you find them so important?”

“Because, you know how I feel about cars, cars are the coolest things ever created by man and to see them guys speed would just be such a rush”

I sighed “Fine” I headed for my room “But I’m getting changed first”

“Stupid Ria and her stupid cars” I mumbled as I rummaged through my suitcases for fresh clothes.

I found my plain brown shirt and dark denim jeans so I threw them on my bed to get changed into. I dressed in the clothes I laid out on the bed and put my boots on under my jeans before brushing my hair, letting it fall below my shoulders.

“You’re wearing that” She said gawping at my outfit.

“Sorry to disappoint” I mumbled.

“You should be, go put something skimpy on”

“No thanks” I said as I grabbed my keys and walked out.

We had been walking for hours now, my feet were sore and I kept complaining I wanted to go home but just as I was about to give up Ria squealed and pointed to her left. My eyes followed her finger and there went four cars, speeding past us. Ria wailed and began to run after the cars “Ria!” I panted “There’s no way you’re catching up with them” I said running after her.

She turned a corner and without me realizing stopped instantly causing me to smash into her once I turned “Ria!” I snapped but she ignored me, her eyes were straight ahead.

I looked up to see what she was so fascinated in and watched as the drivers of the four cars got out. First came out a blonde male with black rimmed glasses, then a tall man with broad shoulders and long brown hair, next was a tall thin man dressed quite odd with long black hair, dreadlocks I think, I couldn’t quite tell from the distance between us, and last was a tall man, broad, baggy clothes, black cornrows and a banner. I was also curious about the four men that had made their way out of their fast cars, but it was mainly the last one I saw that I had my eye on. I watched on as he grabbed the girl closest to him and proceeded to make out with her, but quickly looked away when I saw Ria begin to walk towards them. “Ria” I snapped at her, almost in a whisper “You can’t seriously want to go over there” I grabbed her arm.

“Oh I seriously do” She said back shrugging out of my hold.

I grabbed her again “They can be dangerous, that’s what you said, they’re dangerous”

“I don’t care, I came here to see them, and I’m not backing out now” She said, and I admired her determination.

I nodded a yes and followed behind her quite wearily, she was acting as my shield for I walked behind her. We got closer to the crowd of men and a few women in tiny skirts and bras. I continued to stay behind Ria, too frightened to look anyone in the eye. We got to the crowd and Ria stood there awkwardly with me still behind her, it wasn’t long till someone spotted us “Oh my god Taylor”

“What” I said scared out of my mind I jumped to look behind me in case someone was sneaking up.

“He’s coming over” She said a fan girl scream was building up inside of her; I could hear it in her voice.

I peaked around her shoulder to see the tall man with black dreadlocks, he also had some white in his hair. “Who are you?” He said with a German accent “I haven’t seen you here before, and I wouldn’t have forgotten you” He said with a smirk.

I slightly snorted which caused him to lean aside and spot me “Well hi there” He said with an odd expression on his face.

I sighed and stood up, trying to seem calm and strong, like I was the type of girl that knew how to deal with confronting situations “Hi” I said back annoyed at him noticing me.

“Why were you hiding?” He asked and I stepped beside Ria.

“I wasn’t hiding” I said back annoyed “I was staring at her ass.”

Ria giggled “Taylor” and the tall man laughed.

“Nice, so why haven’t you answered my question yet?”

“Oh my name is Elefteria, Ria for short and this is Taylor”

I was annoyed she gave him my name but I tried to hide it “Ok and what are you doing here, it is dangerous you know, strays like you shouldn’t come to places like this”

“Watch your mouth di-” Ria cut me off with her hand muzzling my mouth.

“Just ignore her” She chuckled “I heard of you guys from a friend and have had a fascination in cars since I was a young teen and just really had to meet the fastest guys in Tokyo”

He chuckled and Ria removed her hand, I wiped my mouth annoyed at her actions “Well you have found them” He said with a smile “Hey, how would you like to take a ride with me, I’m racing soon and would love to have you by my side”

“No way,” I blurted out.

“Definitely” Ria said happily, taking his hand he had out for her.

I grabbed her arm immediately “Ria, no way are you getting into his car”

”Look, have you got a problem?” The tall man said, looking at me annoyed.

“Yeah I do.” I snapped at him.

“Come on Taylor, this is a dream come true”

“But it’s dangerous, what if he crashes”

“They never crash” She chuckled.

I sighed “What’s your name” I asked.

“Bill Kaulitz...why?”

“Mmhm Bill, well I wanted to know in case Ria goes missing and I have to call the cops”

He laughed “They wouldn’t do much good sweetheart”

They began to walk off and I watched on worried as hell “and don’t call me sweetheart” I yelled.

I stood uncomfortably by the side lines and watched as Bill opened the door for Ria and let her in the car, his dark red car, that looked like it was made for speeding. But it was the car beside his that really had my attention. It was so black that the lights from the city glowed on it and it was shaped to speed and kill people. I watched as Bill then got in his car giving someone a nod before hand.

I followed where his gaze once was and saw the man with cornrows make his way towards the black car he had once crawled out of. He got in the car before the whore he made out with hopped in the passenger seat. Her long straight black hair in pigtails. The other two men I had seen were now lost in the crowd and two new men hopped in some cars further behind the crowd.

All four cars lined up and I walked behind them trying to get a look at Ria. As I walked to the side I came close to the black car, the windows were tinted so dark I couldn’t see inside and couldn’t help but to stare into the window. Once I realized the driver would obviously be able to see me I quickly looked away and watched Bill’s car. The little Japanese girl made her way in-between the cars “Ready…” She rubbed her legs and lifted her skirt “…set…” She raised her arms “…GO…” Her arms went flying down and the cars sped past her in an instant.
