Timeless Memories

"I love your poem about the chopped down tree... It reminds me of a beautiful tree we loved, my daughters and I. We called it "the lollipop tree" because it looked like a huge lollipop. I think it was a kind of pine tree. At Xmas time it was decorared with tinsels, multicoloured bulbs. It was beautiful. One day, people decided that the place had to be "renovated", so there were excavators and tractors and guess what happened to our big lollipop tree? They chopped it down because it was "in the way" and now there's a big ugly street lamp where it used to be...casting a sad light around the place. We miss our lollipop tree very much. It's still vivid in my memory, forever."
