The Modern Vampire of Baltimore
On January 10th of 2020, a series of horrific murders occurred in Baltimore, Maryland. The police couldn’t find any leads. They only found the bodies, drained of blood.
The police questioned the locals about the crimes. The people said they saw a tall, slim man in black clothes near where the murders happened. One woman told police that she heard a loud scream but saw nothing.
Local police were patrolling on the evening of January 17th. As one police car turned into an alley, they spotted a tall, slender man wearing all black. He matched the description of the suspect. The police officer shined the spotlight on him as he stopped the police car. The officer yelled hey you stop, I want to talk to you. The tall, slender man ran off as he was being chased by the officer. The thin man stopped running when the police officer approached. The officer noticed his long hands. The officer ordered the man to put his hands in the air and not to move. Suddenly, the slim man began to laugh as he said to the police officer, your weapons will not harm me, sir. The officer was shocked when he saw the slim man’s pale face and glowing red eyes. The thin man raised his bloody hands and pointed at the police officer, saying, “Lower your gun and forget me.” The man shot into the evening sky without a trace.
The officer walked back to his car, thinking about what had happened. He knew he couldn’t talk about it. The next several days later there were no murders reported. A celebration event was to take place in the Baltimores Inner Harbor. The Harbor had many visitors the day of the event. People walked along the inner harbor and enjoyed the historic Ship the Constellation. They also went to the National Aquarium. The day seemed quiet and peaceful.
As the day turned into evening, Susan, a young woman, enjoyed the celebration near the inner harbor. As Susan was walking, she heard the sound of footsteps behind her. Susan turned and saw a tall, slender man wearing all black behind her. She began to feel frightened as she walked faster and faster to avoid the man. As Susan rounded the corner of a building, she looked back and did not see the man who was following her. Susan took a deep breath and began to walk back to get to her car. She thought the man left and would not return. Susan walked slowly, checking for the slim man. She heard footsteps behind her. Looking back, she saw nothing. The slim man appeared. Susan realized he wasn’t human. She ran to escape the creature. The creature darted after her. Susan knew she could not outrun this creature and stopped running.
Susan stopped running from the creature. The creature then walked toward Susan. As the creature began to get closer to Susan, she screamed out what are you and what do you want. The creature stopped and looked somewhat startled by Susan’s comments. Susan could now see the creature’s face and long hands with extremely long nails. The creature started to walk more cautiously toward Susan. Susan yelled, “I know what you are! You won’t feast on me tonight!” As the creature lunged, she quickly reached into her overcoat. Susan fell to the ground, the vampire on top of her. Gasping, she watched as the wooden stake pierced his heart, turning him into ash. Susan got up and walked to her car.
