He's My Boyfriend

I am Dante and I live in the grapevine country, my family owned approximately ten thousand acres growing grapevine, and we made it into the rose’s wine that’s what I called name for our family wine. Well first, let me tell you a little bit about my background and this is my story I call myself in this story as I or I Dante that would be me (Dante). I was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Alante when I was nine years old. I have a big brother named Enzo and he is the only son of my adopted parents Alante. My big brother Enzo and I had a lot of fun when we were young and when we got older my big brother Enzo decided to join the Navy and then left the family which made my Dad and Mom very sad. Oh, My adoptive parents wanted me to call Dad and Mom since from very first time my Dad and Mom saw me in the hospital when I was nine years old. Somehow I was in the hospital bed and I did not recollect who I was but the hospital reported that I was saved from drowning and brought into the hospital. When my Mom and at that time I called Mrs. Alante were admitted into the hospital due to a loss of blood and needing blood transfusion. I was lucky enough to carry blood that was very compatible with Mrs. Alante so the hospital’s doctor said. I have been asked or more like begging at that time by Mr. Alante to give blood to Mrs. Alante due to the critical condition Mrs. Alante is in. I was just conscious for about thirty minutes then I was asked by Mr. Alante, so I agreed to give the permission, and I fell unconscious again.

When I woke up I was in a very nice traditional room have tables, chairs, a TV, and a very nice blanket I lay in bed. The door opens slowly and there is my big brother Enzo at that time a boy named Enzo comes into the room looks at me and smiles.

Enzo said, “Do you need anything? I can go get it for you?”

I said, “Uhm… Not right now and may I ask you where am I?”

Enzo replied, “You are in our house and you have been unconsciously for the past two months.”

I look at Enzo and ask, “Two months I being unconscious? Then would you tell me who am I? Why am I in this bed in your house?”

Enzo smiled and replied, “Oh, let those questions be answered later. For now, you just stay in bed and rest.” I go let my Dad know that you awakened.

I looked at Enzo walking out of the room. To summarize I lost my memory, was almost drowning, met Mr. and Mrs. Alante, and saved Mrs Alante then I was adopted into the family of Mr. and Mrs Alante. In the adopted paper, my name is Dante and I am adopted son ranking second son of Mr. and Mrs. Alante. My big brother name Enzo loves me so much everything he knows teaching me very well. I have learned how the family’s business of grapevine works and how to deal with wine vendors. When my big brother Enzo turned twenty-two, something happened with my Dad and my big brother Enzo, which made my big brother Enzo decide to join the Navy. Before my big brother Enzo left the family, he told me to take care of Dad and Mom and make sure they did well in the Grapevine family business. In return, my big brother Enzo promised me that he would write a letter to me from time to time describing his Navy’s life then my big brother Enzo walked out of the house. I stood there in front of the house, don’t know why my eyes kept raining tears falling out, and my Dad watching from the window. I went into the house and asked my Dad what had happened to my big brother Enzo decided to join the Navy. My Mom looks at my Dad and my Dad looks at me. I saw my Dad’s tears visible out of his eyes.

My Dad said, “Dante, from now on you only call us Dad and Mom. You are the head of our family’s business and I will support you whatever you need to be successful number one in the wine business industry.”

My Dad wiped his tears and then walked toward the back room office. My Mom walks over hugs me and tells me whenever I receive my big brother Enzo’s mail. Please read it for me and I want to know how our Enzo life living out there world. I hugged my Mom and said, “Definitely, I will Mom. Definitely…”

On the presentation day, I am the CEO of Italian National Wine Corporation (INW) and I am very busy meeting with vendors. I am constantly on the phone talking with vendors, planning shipping super huge orders of wines, and I need assistance. I got a phone call from my Mom telling me that lunch was ready to come back to the house and have lunch. I was in the middle of the grapevine country doing the inspections and I dropped all then got back to the house as quickly as I could to have my Mom’s cooking lunch. I love my Mom’s cooking, my Mom cooks all the excellent food and finished all nothing left on my plate. My Mom told me that when I clean out my plate my Mom’s food is great at home but when I go out with the vendor, I should not do that, and just leaving a little bit of food on the place would be fine. Oh, how I love my Mom so much.

I went back to the house to have lunch with my Dad and my Mom. At the lunch table, my Dad told me that I needed to fly to the USA and meet the long-time friend vendor that my Dad in contacting with regarding the wine industry in the USA. I need to represent our family’s wine to the USA where my Dad’s old friend vendor doing business in the USA. I asked my Dad about how I got there to meet my Dad’s old friend vendor.

My Dad said, “Of course, Dante flew to the USA to see my long-time friend vendor. Dante don’t think I let you drive to USA.”

I ask my Dad, “Dad, fly…?” Uhm… Dad, I never fly before and I don’t know how to fly.”

My Mom looked at me and said, “Dante, don’t you worry. When we book the flight, we will make sure you have an escort on the flight to the USA to meet your Dad’s long-time friend vendor.”

I was so nervous but put on a smile and said, “Oh so that I do have assistance on my flight. That’s wonderful Mom and Dad, and I am looking for it.” Oh… Boy…

On the day I fly to the USA to meet my Dad’s long-time old friend vendor, Giulia comes to pick me up and takes me to the international airport. Giulia is my new assistant I have told my Dad that I need help, and now I have Giulia as my new assistant. Giulia is a very pretty girl and smart very long, long, long distant cousin from my Mom’s side. I have heard of Giulia through my Mom telling her family side daily at the dinner table. For my Dad’s family side, my Dad did not talk much about it very little although my Mom did. So, the bell rings and I go get the door. When I opened the door Giulia was standing in front of the door with long hair, pretty eyes, and a little shorter than me.

Giulia said, “Hello, you must be Dante.”

I replied, “Hello Giulia, how are you? Yes, I am Dante and you are my new assistant. You are here to take me to the international airport. Correct?”

Giulia replied, “Yes, I am. You seem taller than me.”

I smiled and said, “Oh… I guess I drink too much milk and I got tall that I have not noticed.” I smile.

My Mom asks, “Is that Giulia there?”

I replied, “Yes Mom, Giulia is here.” I asked Giulia to come inside.

My Mom is very happy to see Giulia and Giulia is even a lot happier to see my Mom. My Dad walks in to say hello to Giulia and my Dad tells Giulia to take good care of Dante to the international airport. My Dad also tells Giulia that Dante is the first time on the flight and Dante needs help on his flight to the USA.

Giulia looked at me with her loving eyes, I looked at my Dad, and I said “I thee Dante, I think I can handle the flight.”

Giulia walked toward me, grabbed my arm, and said, “Dante, don’t you worry. I will good care of you.” Giulia smiles.

My Dad said, “Dante, it’s time to go. You need to go get your luggage and stuff you needed on the trip.”

I went up to my room to get my stuff and Giulia took me to the international airport. I wave goodbye to my Dad and Mom. When arrived at the international airport, Giulia assisted me get check-in to get the airline ticket. Giulia was so pretty and very good at preparing for me to go on the flight trip smoothly. I looked at Giulia, said goodbye, and telling Giulia did an excellent job. Giulia looks at me, certainly Giulia hugs me tight and kisses me. I was so surprised, I looked at Giulia, and Giulia said “Dante, have a wonderful business trip, and if you need anything here is my phone number just call me anytime.”

I looked at Giulia, smiled, and said, “Thank you so much Giulia. I will call you and let you know when I return.”

Giulia smiles, I walk off toward the gate, and wave goodbye to Giulia. Oh boy, the flight to the USA is so long and I thank you Giulia for preparing the motion sickness medication for me to help me on the flight. Finally, I arrived in the mid-USA country and took two stops on the flight to the destination is wanted to go again but I had to fly back to my grapevine country.

When I walked out of the airport I saw a boy holding a sign with my name on it. I walk over and tell the boy that the name on your sign is my name, Dante. The boy told me that his name was Luca and his father told him to come here and pick up Mr. Dante. I asked the boy, “Is your place far away?”

The boy Luca said, “The drive going to take about one hour to his place. Are you ok, Mr. Dante?”

I replied, “Oh well, you see Luca I don’t fly much and this is my first flight out of my country that has taken too long. I don’t feel well, I guess I need to take one more motion sickness medication.”

The boy Luca replied, “Oh yes, you take one more motion sickness pill that would help you to get my place in the car.” Luca smiles.

I took Luca’s advice and took one more motion sickness pill. By the time we arrive at Luca’s place is dark and I am getting fresh air out of this countryside is refreshing. Luca showed me into his house, Luca’s father and mother greeted me, and Luca’s family was so very nice. Luca explains to his parents that Mr. Dante had a very tough flight because this is Mr. Dante’s first flight out of his country. Luca’s parents were so nice to show me the guest room and let me rest early.

The next day, I felt much better and Luca’s parents showed me the house. After breakfast, Luca’s father and I went out to the wine factory to do some business sight seen. Luca’s father was so very nice showing the wine factory and explaining the business I need to bring back to my Dad. If my Dad agrees then we will move forward to sign a contract to exchange our wine products with both sides business could increase up to three Billion. I told Luca’s father that I was very happy about all the conditions in business Luca’s father just explained and I will make a phone call and talk to my Dad then make the decision to move forward on our win contract. Luca’s father was very happy to hear good news, Luca’s father drove us back to the factory’s office. When Luca’s father and I arrived at the factory’s office, we saw three people talking in front of the factory shipping dock. Luca’s father walked me over to the three people then a very tall person looked like a super-model standing holding a binder and looking at us. When Luca’s father and I walked over to the three people standing in front of the shipping dock. The tall looks like a super-model calling Luca’s father “Father.”

Luca’s father smiled and said, “Gia, I would like to introduce you this is…” Then Gia interrupted Luca’s father talking.

Gia said, “Oh father, you brought a helper. That’s great.” Gia grabbed my hand and pulled me with her to the other side of the shipping dock, one of the two people standing with Gia called Gia but Gia ignored continued pulling me to go with Gia.

When Gia pulled me to go with her we reached the shipping office and in the office, there were six big boxes of paper-works in it. Gia said, “You need to help me bring those six boxes of paperwork to the truck I parked from her side of the building.” I need to take these six boxes of paperwork home.

I am obedient, I raise my sleeves then I bring six boxes of paperwork to the truck for Gia as instructed. Luca’s father walks into the office seeing Gia sitting at the office desk calculating the shipment. Luca’s father asks, “Gia, where is the man who came with me? Where is he?”

Gia replied, “Oh, thank you very much Father for bringing a helper. I told him to bring six boxes of paperwork to my truck, which I needed to bring home and do some more recalculation on the shipment costs.

I walked back into the shipment office then I heard Luca’s father talking in the shipment office. Luca’s father said, “Gia… That man is our high-value business partner, his Dad and I are old friends who have been doing business together long back now his Dad sent him here to review our new fresh contract on our wine.”

Gia looked at her father and said, “Oh my… I am so sorry father, I was not thinking but I thought you bring more help.”

Luca’s father looks at her daughter Gia and says, “Alright, let’s wait for Dante to come back in here then I introduce you to you.”

After I heard Luca’s father say, “I introduce you to you.” Then I made a sound and walked into the shipment office. When I walked into the shipment office, Luca’s father looked at me and smiled then Gia stood up and walked toward me putting her both hands together said “I am so sorry Mr. Dante. I did not know, I thought you were a helper from my father brought over to help me.”

I looked at this super-model tall Gia and said, “It’s alright, I am glad here to assist you.” I am fine.

Gia said, “Let’s start from the beginning. I am Gia VP of my father’s business, taking charge of the shipping, and I apologize for mistaking you as…”

Then my turn. I said, “Gia, I am glad to meet you and my name is Dante.” I am glad that I can assist you with those six big boxes. I smile.

Luca’s father smiles and then asks Gia, “Gia, what’s going with that businessman out front and the girl with that businessman? Who is she and she sounds like very stuck-up.”

Gia hesitates to answer her father’s question. Gia said, “That business is friends with that girl he is with and that business tried to get our contract on shipment but his conditions do not meet our company policy.”

I Dante do a lot of business with people but earlier I saw Gia acting in front of the shipment dock and the way Gia answered her father’s question. I believe there is more to it seems.

Gia’s father said, “That’s alright, if the contract does not meet our company’s policy then we do not have to sign it.”

Gia smiles at her father. Gia’s father said, “Gia, why don’t you take Dante home? I have some other business to go attend and I will see you both at home.”

Gia replied, “Sure father, I will drive Mr. Dante home.” Gia went to pack up her paperwork and then asked me to come with Gia to the truck.

When in the truck, Gia driving me back to her house, I noticed that Gia looked unhappy, then I watched the road trying to come up with a conversation maybe asking Gia what was bothering her. Well, to be truthful I never talked to any girl before only in the wine business, and only talked mostly business men. I take a deep breath and I have little courage to ask, “Uhm... Gia, I noticed that you are not happy. You know I like to work with people who are happy and if people I work with are not happy then I will make them happy.”

Gia driving, smiling, and glancing at me. Gia said, “Oh, it’s nothing. It’s just… Just…”

Well, Gia. You can tell me Dante and Dante will try to resolve for you if you tell me what is bothering you. Gia looks at me and then drives the truck to an ice cream shop in a small town. After Gia and I got the ice cream sat down at a table eating ice cream. Gia still did not say anything then I started to ask Gia.

I ask, “Gia, tell me. What’s wrong?”

Gia looked at me and said softly, “I… I don’t want my father to worry about our family business because of me.”

I ask, “What do you mean of you? I don’t understand.”

Gia took a deep breath and said, “That businessman you saw earlier with that girl I thought was a friend of mine but turns out she was not.” That business wants to do business buying our wine but his condition that… that…”

I looked at Gia and said, “Gia, take it slow. Just take a deep breath and tell me slowly.”

Gia said, “That businessman is a hot shot in the city and I believe a close friend of that girl I thought was my friend.” That businessman told me that the contract to buy my family wines was a super big contract with a condition that I have to agree to go with him on the night trip.

I look at Gia and I see Gia’s tears coming out slowly then Gia wipes her tears. I slowly put my hand on Gia’s hand and said, “Gia, I am here for you, and it is going to be the huge wonderful business I am doing with your family’s wine contracts.” You need me anything and I am here for you. Gia, do not take this on by yourself of your family business that you are afraid may cause problems to your family because of you. Oh… You know what I meant, Gia.

Gia looks at me straight into my eyes and I just noticed that Gia’s eyes are blue. Oh wait, is Gia’s eyes blue…??? I wonder….

Gia looked at me put her other hand on my hand and said, “Dante, what you just said. Really?”

Now, I think that I may be out of my mind or so confused about Gia’s last question. Really?” I look at Gia and softly ask, “Uhm… Gia, what do you mean really?” Uhm.. I said, “Gia, if you need me just tell me and if I can do it then I will do it for you.”

Gia said, “Dante, you are a very nice man. Let’s finish our ice cream then we go home. My father may got home before us and waiting for us.”

I look at Gia and in my mind say “Ok, finish up my ice scream then go home and call my Dad about the new business contract with Gia’s father.”

After we got home Gia’s father just got home at the same time as us. We all go inside the house and there is Luca comes out to greet us and me. Luca joking with me asking me how my motion sickness doing.

Gia looked at me and I replied to Luca, “Luca, my motion sickness is in bed. I thank you Luca very much for your concern about my motion sickness.”

Luca and everyone in the house looking at me then all laughing. I join in the laughing too. I have no idea what time over here, my watch is still on my country’s time, daylight is still on here, and Luca’s mother asking to go to the table to have food. Oh well, I am starting hungry, I go join in and have food. At the table, Luca said, “Tonight, our family is being invited to attend the town’s party and the invitation card just arrived a moment ago.”

Luca’s father said, “How come I did not notify any of these town parties at all until now?”

Luca said, “Oh, I heard there is a big city businessman in town who wants to throw a party and invite the town to get to know and do business.”

Gia looks at me and I look at Gia. Gia’s father said, “Oh that’s good if we all could go.” Gia’s father looks at me and asks, “Dante, you want to go town’s party?”

I look at Gia’s father and glance a little bit at Gia. I said, “Oh… I think my motion sickness still needs to recover and I…” Gia jumped in asking me.

Gia said, “Mr. Dante, if you could join our family to go to the town’s party that would be great.”

Gia looked at me with her blue eyes, I still think blue eyes, and I said, “Uhm… Of course, if Gia and Luca show me around then I go with you.”

Luca is so happy and Gia smiles. Gia’s father said, “I will show you around if Gia and Luca are unable to.”

Luca said, “Oh, of course, I will show Mr. Dante anything he wants to see.”

I smiled and glancing at Gia noticed that Gia was a little happy now. The night comes and we all get in the big truck and drive into town. When we get into town there are a lot of town people and a few fancy cars of businessmen. We all get out of the truck, Gia smiles and looks at her parent, Luca, and me. Luca said, “Let me take Mr. Dante show him around, and meet you all inside.”

Luca’s mother said, “Alright, come inside soon. OK.”

Gia and her parents went inside the town party building. Luca shows me around the outside and tell me all the story about the town. Luca kept calling Mr. Dante I asked Luca to call me Plan Dante by his first name which was fine with me. Luca smiled and agreed to call me by my first name Dante. Both Luca and I walked around talking more and more like brothers. Luca said, “Let’s go inside and join the family.”

I said, “Oki brother.”

Luca smiles and grabs my hand taking me inside the town’s party building. Inside, there is music so loud and many people walking around, talking, small children running, and businessmen talking to the townspeople. Luca and I walked toward Luca’s mother and Gia then Luca ran off to get a drink for me. I standing with Gia’s mother and Gia then the girl that Gia was a friend came by and started talking to Gia. Gia is so polite talking back then two town people with business saw early this morning come by standing next to the girl this morning with a businessman. Luca comes back with a drink for me and Luca’s father walking toward us with three other townspeople. Oh wow, now we have a group of people including the morning business man that I will keep my eye on for Gia.

The business from the morning with the girl that Gia thought was a friend started talking introducing himself his name is Micky and he told everyone that his company wants to do a big contract to buy a huge amount of wines. The townspeople look so excited then Micky the business man asks Gia if the offer this morning Gia agrees to sign the contract.

Gia started unhappy and Gia’s father looked at Gia then said, “I think your contract provided to my Gia this morning does not meet our company’s policy.” If revise the morning contract to meet our family policy then we may sign it.

Micky starts to look upset. The girl with the Micky businessman said, “Oh, any contract we could revise.”

Then Micky smiled at the girl then said, “That’s right, we could make a deal. Oh by the way, I see many pretty girls in this town and I wonder if you have a boyfriend yet Ms. Gia?”

Gia is very mad inside, almost starting to slap this businessman man Micky but for the family, Gia tries so hard to hold back the anger.

Everyone looks at Gia, including all the guys standing on the other side, even all the men in the room, but, Dante just does a little glancing at Gia. Gia’s mother looks at Gia and tries to help Gia.

Gia burst out and said out loud, “I have a boyfriend.”

Oh Wow!!! Everyone heard Gia just say out loud “I have a boyfriend.” Everyone stops their doing and looks straight at Gia. For me Dante, I am curious to know who is Gia’s boyfriend.

The girl and businessman Micky laughed then both said, “This morning we saw you and that time we don’t believe you tell us you have a boyfriend.” The girl nodded her head.

Everyone looking at Gia, Gia’s father and mother, and Luca looking at his big sister Gia. Luca asks, “Sister Gia, who is your boyfriend?”

Gia slowly turns toward Dante, walks up closely to Dante, slowly grabs Dante’s hand tight, and says, “This person is my boyfriend and his name is Dante.”

The businessman Mickey and the girl laughing so hard loudly. Everyone looking at me Dante. Oh boy, when Dante saw Gia look at me slowly walking toward me that moment my heart already started beating up, Gia slowly grabbed my arm tight then I knew I needed a transilient.

Gia’s blue eyes looked straight at me and I smiled and said, “Yes, I am Gia’s boyfriend and I just accepted Gia’s kindness, beauty, caring, and love affection today in the ice cream shop.

The businessman Micky and the girl that Gia thought her friend both said “No, that we don’t believe it.”

Oh well, I Dante telling you all, and if any of you don’t believe me then shall be fine with me. Still, I am Gia’s boyfriend that is the fact true now. I turned to look at Gia and said, “Gia, would you please go with me and get some drink I am very thirsty.” I handed my drink to Luca and walked away with Gia to find me a drink.

Luca, Luca’s mother, and Luca’s father followed Gia and me to find the drinks. Everyone still cannot accept the news that I am Gia’s boyfriend. At the drinks table, Gia said to me very softly, “Dante, I thank you so much for accepting to be my boyfriend.”

I look at Gia and her blue eyes. I still think Gia has blue eyes, I need to put that blue eyes question into my note and ask Gia later. I said, “Gia, it’s my pleasure. I am happy to be your boyfriend.”

Luca walks up and asks, “Dante, you are my big sister Gia’s boyfriend?’

I look at Luca then Luca’s father and mother walking toward us nodding their heads. Gia still holding my arm, and Luca, and Luca’s parents looking at me. I Dante, replied softly to Luca “Oh yes, I am your big sister Gia’s boyfriend and it just happened today.” I smile.

Luca looks at me then moves quickly to me puts his arms around me and hugs me. Luca’s father looks at me and tells Luca to stand aside, Luca’s father walks toward me put his hand on my shoulders pulls me over hug me, and Luca’s mother looks at me with her eyes like tear coming out then says, “Oh, my big baby Gia has a boyfriend.” Gia’s mother’s signal came to her then Gia’s father slowly pushed me toward Gia’s mother then Gia’s mother hugged me. Now, I Dante wondering how am I going to break this news to my Dad and Mom at home. Oh wow…

The townspeople and businessmen are talking about their business with some disagreement then the talking gets louder making everyone start looking at them. Luca said, “Let me go take a look at what’s going on over there.” After Luca went to take a look he came back telling us that the businessmen were not buying any wine from out of town.

Luca’s father looks and says, “I am not surprised at all.”

Luca’s mother said, “Businessmen, those men not all of them are good. They only want things for themselves.”

Gia looked at me and smiled and I looked at Gia and smiled then I said, “Well. Gia’s mother, you are correct. I believe that’s true of this world we living in.”

Luca said, “Dante, you talk sound like you know the world we living in.”

Gia looked at Luca and said, “Luca, you cannot address Dante by first name.”

I smiled at Gia and looked at Luca then said, “That’s alright Gia, Luca and I talking like brothers. I am fine.”

Gia looking at me with her blue eyes, I still need to ask Gia about her blue eyes when we are alone when I am brave enough. I look at Luca and ask Luca, “Luca, do you know how to make an international call?”

I would like to make an international call. Luca replied, “Sure, give me your phone and I will be happy to show you how to make an international call.”

I went out of the building with Luca to call my Dad asking about a business decision. After I had made a call to my Dad, I went back in with Luca, and I saw the townspeople talking with the businessmen about their promise to buy the wine. I saw the girl standing with Gia talking, I walked up to Gia’s father and told him that tomorrow we going to sign a contract of cooperation buying a very large amount of wine products. Gia’s father was very happy and took me to see Gia. When Gia’s father and I arrive at the girl talking to Gia. We heard something like “It is your loss and the town’s loss.” Gia’s father asks Gia, “What is going on?”

Gia looked at her father and replied, “Father, you know this lady from the morning with other businessmen. She said the businessmen are not doing business with our town.”

Gia’s father looked at the girl and said, “That’s fine, we will do the business somewhere else.”

The girl said, “Oh, it is your big loss.” The girl looks at me Dante then tells Gia that your boyfriend is just a personal helper and you have no future in it.

Gia’s father heard and told the man that this girl dared talk to his daughter Gia like that. Gia’s father said loudly, “Excuse… Me… My daughter Gia had a boyfriend is none of your business and most all that Gia’s boyfriend is not a low person helper.”

Luca and Luca’s mother heard Luca’s father’s loud voices and then came over. Luca’s father continued to say, “Girl, you may not know that Gia’s boyfriend standing here is the CEO of the Italian National Wine Corporation.” I suggest you don’t know anything about what you are talking about so please keep your mouth shut. I appreciate much.

Gia and Luca are so surprised to hear from their father that Dante is the CEO. Gia’s father left and walked over to the town’s friends talking to them for about one minute then all of the town friends of Gia’s father came over to see me, Dante. Gia’s father introduced me to the townspeople of his friends talking about wine purchases very huge amount that people in the town could contribute.

Dante smiled at Gia’s father and said, “As long our contract is completed with the huge amount of purchase and cooperation of wine and it is up all to Gia’s father deciding this end.” I have no objection at all and am very happy to cooperate and work with you all in the future.

The girl and the businessmen were stunning looking at me and Gia’s father. Gia walks up to me and grabs my arm sincerely looking at me. Dante looking at Gia’s eyes, smiles, and says, “I am a little hungry again. Can we go home and have some food? I like home food more because Gia’s mother cooks food so delicious.” Gia’s mother said, “Of course, let’s go home.”

We all go home and say goodbye to the people, and the businessmen with the girl still stunning what just happened at the town’s party. After Gia’s family and I, Dante go home and have great food. I tried to help out with dishes but Gia’s mother did not allow me, Luca told me to get out of the back seat and relax. So, I went to the back to find a very nice table and sat in the chair so comfortable relaxing with my cold lemonade drink. Gia came out with a big jar of lemonade, smiled at me, and sat down in the chair next to me. Gia poured more lemonade into my glass and I said thank you so much to Gia.

Gia looked at me smiled and said, “I want to thank you Dante so much for being by my side and helping me out in this difficult situation.”

I looked at Gia and said, “Gia, all my pleasure to assist you in any difficult situation you are in. I am all there for you.”

Gia looks at me smiles and starts asking me directly. Gia asks, “Uhm… Dante, do you have a girlfriend at home?”

I grabbed my glass of lemonade and drank a little bit, and I replied, “No, I do not have a girlfriend at home.” Gia, you see in my family business, I am so wrapping up what I do best trained in my family business so busy that I do not have time for any of my personal life.” Right now, I am the only son in my family at home assisting my Dad in taking care family business and assisting my Mom with her excellent cooking of foods that oh I love so much. That makes me sometimes forget everything else and I have not associated with any girl until now you are the first girl I have associated with Gia.

Gia is looking at me straight into my eyes and smiles beautifully, and I think Gia looking at me like this like Gia wants to kiss me. Am I wrong? Uhm.. Let’s wait and see.

Gia started moving her chair closer to me, now Gia’s chair bumped into my chair, and I was looking at Gia. Gia looks at me with her blue eyes or am I wrong in my assessment of Gia’s blue eyes? Gia moved toward me, Gia’s face now right in front of my face, like three inches away, and I started to get nervous. I take a deep breath still looking at Gia, Gia still moving closer and closer to me then I bravely start asking Gia.

I said very softly voice, “Uhm… Gia, may I ask you something?”

Gia’s face stops moving toward my face. Gia asks, “Yes, what are you going to ask me?”

I Dante said, “Uhm… Gia, are your eyes blue?" I am certain that now my girlfriend Gia has blue eyes.

Gia looks at me and smiles so beautifully, Gia’s hands grab my neck pull my mouth into Gia’s mouth, and kiss me. Now, Dante’s mind is starting fireworks blow up, I am thinking is this Gia’s answer “Yes”? While Gia kissed me Gia said, “Yes… Yes…”

I heard the voice of Luca and Luca opening the door saw Gia kissing me. I start to try acting coughing, Gia smiles looking at me, and Gia turns around and sees her little brother Luca. Luca smiles, pretending not to see anything, and asks, “Dante, are you ok? You need more lemonade?” Luca smiles but I think Luca is laughing trying to pretend to smile.

Dante replied to Luca, “Oh… I need water lemonade.” I look at Gia and Gia looking at me smiles beautifully. Luca said, “Dante, don’t you worry. I will go make more lemonade for you. This may take longer to make lemonade and I will be back as long as I can.”

I Dante looking at Luca, Ha..? I said, “Luca, what?”

Luca smiled walking back into the house fast and said, “Ohh… Ohh…”

In the meantime, Gia sitting next to me looking at me with her blue eyes and then I saw a round white water coming out of Gia’s blue eyes. I moved closely to Gia and confirmed that small round white water coming out of Gia’s blue eyes were tears. I slowly use my finger to wipe out Gia’s tear and ask Gia “What’s wrong? Are you alright?”

Gia looked at me with her blue eyes and smile, and Gia did not say anything. I see Gia’s arm wrapping around my arm, Gia’s head leaning over my shoulder, and closing her eyes. I think that Gia must be exhausted from all the work Gia does daily. I put my other hand on Gia’s hand and rubbed gently on her hand. Dante said to Gia, “I believe tomorrow is a new day for both of us. Gia and Dante will make our family business strive to succeed.” Agreed? Gia.

Gia nodded and said softly, “We both will make our family proud.”

Then I seem to have sensed someone looking at Gia and me. I slowly turned around looking back behind at the entrance door and there I saw Luca, Luca’s father, and Luca’s mother standing behind the house window looking at Gia and me giving thumbs up.

The next day, Gia is waiting for me to go with Gia to the family company to generate the contract. Gia drove her truck to take me to the family company but on the way, Gia wanted to show me the restaurant that had the best food in town and would like to treat me to taste the best food in town. Oh, it was the best food restaurant that Gia took me to taste. I Dante love it. Afterward, Gia and I came to the family company, there we saw many townspeople shouting at the businessmen that we don’t do business with people who do not keep their promises. When Gia stopped her truck and we started walking to the family company building there were a lot of building security guards trying to keep peace in front of the building but the townspeople now do not like those businessmen who did not keep their promises.

Gia and I Dante walk up to the family company entrance where Gia’s father stands with the townspeople. The townspeople people very happy to see Gia and Dante. Those businessmen tell the town people it is best to do business with them to get more benefits. The townspeople standing in front of Gia and me looking back to Dante then said “We like very much to do business with Dante and only do business with Dante and Gia.” All of you so-called businessmen from the large city just go back to your big city and do business there.

The building’s security starts showing those businessmen out away from the building. The girl whom Gia thought was a friend going with those businessmen out of the town. Gia grabs my hand pulling me and walking with her into the building with Gia’s father. We did the contract with the town people and Gia’s father will be representing the town. I Dante accomplished my Dad assigned family tasks to me. My work is now completed, next is to let both family companies work out the details and coordination of working mutually concerning cooperation. That night at Gia’s home, the family throws a small party for me to say goodbye for tomorrow I am returning to my country, but I see Gia seems to have something in her mind, and I walk up to Gia looking at Gia seems like only half-happy.

Dante grabs Gia’s hand, we both walk out the back of the house and sit at the table a little far away from the back house entrance this time. I pulled two chairs close together, and Gia and I sat down, I looked into Gia’s beautiful blue eyes, and I asked Gia what was wrong.

Gia looks at me then immediately wraps around me with Gia’s arms and kisses me on the cheek. Gia still did not say anything. I think I know why Gia is showing unhappiness. I kissed Gia’s cheek and said, “Gia, are you going to miss me tomorrow when I get on the plane to fly back to my country?”

Gia’s voice softly said, “Dante, I don’t want to miss you.”

I Dante heard my girlfriend Gia say, “Don’t want to miss Dante.” First time in my life, I felt so happy when I heard my girlfriend Gia say that. I look at Gia, oh wow now the more I look at Gia’s blue eyes so seem more and more beautiful, and I said to Gia “Why don’t you come with me to meet my Dad and Mom.”

Gia immediately kissed my both cheeks and said, “I want to but I need to ask my parents, and the work I do daily needs to be turned over to someone else to do it for me.”

I Dante looked at Gia and said, “I have a solution but you are correct, my solution required your parents’ approvals.” Let’s go in and submit our request.

Gia smiles so beautifully, grabs my hand, and we both go inside the house to see Gia’s parents. When Gia and I Dante got inside the house everyone’s family members looked at Gia smiled then said “Gia… Gia… Show us your boyfriend.”

Gia smiled, a little embarrassed, and said, “He is my boyfriend, Dante.” Gia kisses my cheek.

Oh wow, I turn to embarrassed, my face turning red or rose-like color, I think, then I smile at the family. I said, “I am extremely happy for Gia’s family accepting me.”

Then one of the family members said to Gia, “Gia, are you going with Dante tomorrow to fly to Dante’s hometown to see Dante’s parents?”

Dante’s mind said inside out loud, “Oh... Wow… Someone in the family read my thoughts.”

Gia looked at me smiled and said, “Oh… Uhm… I need my parent’s permission to go with Dante to see Dante’s parents.”

Now is Dante’s queue to ask Gia’a’s parents permission for Gia to go with me or fly with me back to my country to see my parents. I took a deep breath, looking straight at Gia’s parents, and said, “Uhm… Mr. & Mrs. Monto, I would like to have your permission to take Gia with me back to my home country to meet my Dad and Mom. Please give us your permission.”

Mr. and Mrs. Monto looking at Gia and Dante. Both Gia’s parents smiled and Gia’s father said, “Dante and Gia, you both have our permission to fly to Dante’s home and see Dante’s parents.”

Gia starts running to her parents hugging Gia’s father and Gia’s mother. I Dante, think I must do the same as Gia but kind of take it slowly. I Dante would not embarrass myself at first time family and relatives gathering dinner night. Everyone is so happy and wishes Gia and Dante a safe travel trip to Gia’s boyfriend’s hometown. Oh my, now my little brother Luca is so happy walking up to me and giving me a big hug.

Luca said, “Brother Dante, I will ask my big sister Gia to take very good care of you my Brother Dante on your motion sickness.”

I Dante, looking at my little brother Luca and smiling but thinking “Oh Boy… The flying… But the good side is now I have Gia with me like my little brother Luca just said to take good care of me.” Oh yeah… I smile…. Everyone has a wonderful time at the small gathering in my Gia’s family dinner night house.

The next day at the international airport, Gia and I Dante said goodbye to Gia’s family, especially my new little brother Luca so nice to me so many times telling big sister Gia to take very good care of Dante on the flight regarding Luca called future brother-in-law Dante motion sickness. Gia and I Dante got on the airplane, we sat in the first-class, the airplane started taxing on the runway, I Dante started nervously on taking off with going to hitting the turbulent. Gia sat right next to me and the look at Gia was so fine.

Gia looked at me and said, “Dante, are you ok? You do look pale.”

I Dante admitted so weak on the airplane and said to Gia, “Gia, my sweet I think I need to lean on you and you please hand me the bag just in case.” I Dante lean over and rest my head on my sweet Gia.

Gia smiled and said very softly, “My sweet Dante, I will take very good care of you, and don’t you worry. Just rest.” I Dante so happy and smiled back to my hometown.
