Silver Wolf's Dream: A Shifter Fanfiction

Summary

Cheyenne constantly had the same dream, over and over, for months. She didn't know what it meant, or why it scared her so much, until she saw one thing that stood out in her dream, yet it was her reality... her dream, come to life. Will it be good, or as terrifying as her dreams were? Only time will tell... This is a WWE wrestling and country music shifter fanfiction.

Chapter 1 - Silver Eyes, Silent Howl

She began running, a four legged creature chasing closely behind, she turned her head to see if she was still being chased and tripped over a tree's root above the ground and fell. As she rolled over she came face to face with a wolf with silver eyes that glistened like silver dollars, as she began to crawl away as the wolf charged at her, sinking its teeth into her neck. "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP," came the sound of the alarm clock. Cheyenne sat up in her bed, drenched in sweat. She got out of bed and went to the bathroom to start the shower, then her phone rang, "Hello?" she answered, "Hey Shy, you gettin' ready?" the familiar voice of her friend Dianne asked her, "Yeah I just got up, I'll be ready in about ten minutes," she said, "Okay, I'll be there by then," Dianne said excitedly, "All right," Shy said and hung up the phone, back to the bathroom she went. She decided to take a bath, she put Lavender and Chamomile in the bath water to soak in, while she undressed to get in. A little while later Dianne was at the door and let herself in, she made her way around the large two-story house and up the stairs to Cheyenne's bedroom. She knocked on the door while Shy was still in the tub, "Who is it?" she asked, "It's me Di," Dianne said through the door, "Okay I'll be right out," Shy said as she started to get up.

She got dressed and went out to see Dianne, "Wow girl you look like crap," Dianne said teasingly, "I know, I didn't sleep well again," Shy said softly, "Bad dreams again?" Dianne said with a frown, "Yeah, I think it's got something to do with my silver colored eyes," she said curiously, "Oh, why's that?" Dianne said with as much curiosity, "'Cause the wolf had silver eyes like mine. You know how the Native Americans believed that dreams are visions to someone's past or future?" she asked, "Yeah, I heard that somewhere," Dianne said, "Well I think my dream is a sign," she said softly as Mark came in, "Hi Markie," she said to her oldest brother, "Hey sis, what's wrong?" he asked, "Not sleeping well again?" he observed, "No bubba, I'm not sleeping well," she answered softly, "You think there is anyone else like me?" she asked with pleading eyes, "I don't know little sis, but we'll do what we can to find out," he said giving her a hug, "Hi Dianne," he said with a smile, "Hi Mark," she said as she hugged him. Very few knew what Shy really was, she found out when she was five, shortly after her birth parents died, that there was something very different about her. She was in a foster home when she began to change. Her teeth got longer, much like fangs, fur began to grow, bones broke and formed back together, claws grew from her fists, one minute she could look like a wolf with silver fur and the next a normal looking human. They called her Silver Wolf.

Mark looked at her with a smile, "Why don't you come with me tonight sis, I met someone and I think you'll like him," he said, "Mark you know I'm not going to date anyone," she said as she and Dianne got ready for their day out, "I didn't say anything about dating sis," he protested, "Even though it would probably do you good," Dianne chimed in with excitement, "No one would want a person that is half wolf half human as a girlfriend," Shy said with a hint of anger, "Someone might," came a voice from behind. Steve stood behind them listening, "Oh yeah? Like who Rattlesnake?" Shy asked as her anger got more intense and fangs started to show. "I don't rightly know, who you would like, but please calm down," he said raising his hands slowly, he knew what she was capable of doing when she got mad enough. He liked her because she wasn't afraid to be herself, even though she was more different than any other woman he'd met, "How about me?" he asked softly, "Steve, I won't date people I work with, and besides you are like a brother to me, I don't see you any other way," she admitted and saw the pain in his eyes, she knew then that he liked her, "Sorry Steve," she said softly, "It's okay Shy, I understand, but I still like you very much, and that's as far as I will take it," he said and kissed her cheek, "Thank you my Rattlesnake," she said softly, "And besides Steve, she's still in love with her long lost boyfriend," Mark added, "That one you call Jukebox?" Steve asked, "Yeah," she said, "But I doubt he still likes me," she added, "Why do you say that," Steve asked, "Because she hasn't seen him since she was what, nine?" Dianne added the fact. "Yeah Di, since I was nine, Jukebox was my best friend; well one of the two from my childhood, and my first boyfriend," she said softly.
