Love, hope and giggles in zombieland
"First, a confession. I don't usually read zombie stories. Second, this one might just make me change my mind. What makes this story unique in every aspect is the HUMAN element. The human touch. Set in a post-apocalyptic world infested with zombies, it is humans driving the story forward, page after page, chapter after chapter. And not the zombies. Another unique feature of this story is its world-building. There are no vivid descriptions of scorched landscape, ravaged townships, burnt cities, burnt corpses, and zombies running amok --- things that one would usually expect in a story like this. In short, there is NO FLUFF. The world unravels slowly, layer by layer, through the eyes of the protagonists, Ashley and Colby. They brave all odds, overcome all challenges, defeat all adversaries, and eventually, fall in love with each other😍 But that is not all. What holds their relationship, and this story, together is a six-month-old named Jenny🤩 She is the REAL star of the show. She is the scenestealer. There is nothing more uplifting, rejuvenating, and inspiring than a sweet budding romance in a dystopian world. But there is something far more heartwarming than that --- the giggles and squeals of a baby🤗 The romance keeps you invested in the present. But the baby --- she makes you HOPE for the future. I hope the writer works on a sequel for this story. It could be set in the future, perhaps 20 years down the line. It could have a First Person POV. And that POV could be none other than Jenny's, now a 20-year-old👍 Now, that would be something to look forward to. That would be the icing on the cake🎂 "
A Survival Classic
"So far this book has been a heartwarming read, two people looking out for each other and making sure they survive, I love the little developments of their personalities and hints about their past. It's definitely a book worth reading and personally I will do just that, I want to see where Colby, Ashley and Jenny end up. The only qualm I have with the writing style is that often times the space between text is too big but I know this is an issue with Inkitt and it's time consuming to remove these especially if you are copy and pasting from your document/notes/manuscript. I will update this review once I reach the end of this story <3 "
When Resident Evil in PS 2 Turned Into A Novel
"I ask the author how the ML and FL will look like and she said it will be like the guy in Resident Evil and somehow... I agree! Folks, I was not always a book reader. Once upon a time I was a hardcore playstation game player (Hello Resident Evil and GTA San Andreas lol). And you know what? When I was young, I was shipping Leon and that blonde girl so bad (I guess her name was also Ashley?) And when the author mentioned this, I was happy! And actually the ML and FL fits into this character. Not only that, the plot was equally fun just like in the game! So glad my ship couple finally turned into a novel haha ♡ Anyway, this is a zombie story. Quite a refreshing theme for me as I usually read werewolf, vampire, or mafia. I guess this is the first zombie book I read in Inkitt? 🤔 Anyway this sure is not dissappointing at all! The plot is fast-paced (which is good in action story IMO), and the writing style is simple. Even for a non native like me it's VERY easy to follow and read 🩷❤️🧡 I also love the plot about survival, like, you know there will always be challenges on their way and its like one thing to tackle before the next goal--which is fun and thrilling to follow! Kudos for author for nailing that so well ♡ I also love how shorts each chapter is. Even though this story has 60+ chapters, each chapter is short and fairly quick to read. Anyone can read in everywhere very easily, thanks to the author's amazing writing. So far I finish arc 2! Cant wait to start arc 3! Looking forward to read more 🩷❤️"

An amazing read
"The premise may be simple but the story telling is anything but. The narrative is beautifully crafted with amazing characters. The grammar is really good, with only a few noticeable mistakes that do not affect the reading experience. The style of writing is really good and I would give it a 4.5/5. My only grievance is that I would like a bit more description and world building but that's a personal preference. "

Within the chapters you'll follow a family as they explore the failures and successes of rebuilding after a civilization ending disaster and they discover just how far some people are willing to go to survive. It is an adventure worth reading. You will come to love some of the main characters hoping for the best outcome for them, and wish the worst for those that try to hurt them."

"Story is amazingly written. It can use a bit more editing but nothing that is to dramatically wrong. Only thing I would change if I could.....would be a timeline within at least the first 5 chapters. Its been a bit confusing without it. Now that I have it its making more sense for me. 1 of my favorite genres is dystopia so this book is a perfect match for me. Will definitely recommend to everyone I know. "
