June Prologue
What do you like to do during the summer? Do you like to travel on vacation? Spend time with friends at home? Work for some part-time job? Or maybe go to camp? Let’s say you decide you like to go to camp. Do you like to go as a camper where you get to make memories and new friends from around the world? Or do you like to be a camp counselor organizing plans for the incoming campers on a week-to-week basis? Whatever you decide, you want to make sure your time at camp is enjoyable for everyone around to where they cannot wait to come back next year.
While we all think about the stories of the campers that go to the camps, we rarely think about the stories of the counselors. People who enjoy coming out to volunteer on a yearly basis because they love what they do. Yet their camp stories are just as important to themselves as the stories of the campers they have to supervise. In one particular camp, two camp counselors find themselves in a situation that neither of them can escape without it interfering with the kids they supervise.
June: Tonya Bernard & Zane Valencia
Zane Valenica has been camp counselor every summer since he was a freshman in college along with his best friend Tobias Spiller. But this summer, Tobias is caught on a business trip and will not be making the campgrounds. To take over for his spot, Tobias has hired his girlfriend Tonya Bernard. While Zane and Tonya get along with each other, Zane tries to be respectful and not backstab his friend Tobias.
But during one night, Zane and Tonya get to close to each other that it throws their newfound friendship for a loop. Neither can’t seem to ignore their newfound feelings for the other, but are worried that there is more happening at the campsite than just a blossoming affair, especially because Zane has a secret he’s trying to hide. Will this summer be the summer of new beginnings for these two or will it end with a summer to forget? All the answers to be found out at Camp Lover’s Lake.
