It was interesting to say the least
"The story started out really strong. Our main character is on the run, she powerful, she's capable. They only catch her after slip ups. She knows her strength and refuses to back down. Then we get to the torture. Most of the book was the torture. I get the point of it, we needed to set up how much she's gone through and that continuing to try is a herculean effort in and of itself. Having said that, almost the entire book is the torture which isn't much of a book. Finally, we get to the satisfaction of seeing Myrin die which was a longtime coming. The extensive torture scenes really set in stone the fact that he is a monster and we're all glad to see him dead. The very end of the book, our character finally gets her strength and power back after everything. We get a nice cliffhanger which leaves one ready for the next installment in this series. “I don’t have to beat you, to make you comply” He says while actively beating her. "

"The authors writing style and descriptions are amazing. This book is just not for me. I missed loads out as it was just too gorey for me to read. What a horrendous thing to happen. However if you like reading sadistic horror fantasy books this is definitely a good one for you. "
