I want to love you when it’s not convenient

I want to hold you in moments you didn’t know you need it

I want to learn the parts of you that you’re too scared to show

I want to reinforce how every part of you to me is beautiful

I want to turn you and I to US, and refer to my possessions as ours

I want to be vulnerable in a way that I’ve never been able to be

I want to second guess myself on everything except my love for you

I want to plan my week around what you need

I want to put myself in second place and be proud that you come first

I want you to want me but not quite as much as I know I need you

I want to love the parts of you that you thought could never be loved

I want to be happy just because you are just like I’ve always dreamed of

I want to see you at your worst and tell myself you’re still everything I want

I want to see you at your lowest and know it’s my job to pick you up

I want to hold you in a way that’s uncomfortable to all others but us

I want your idiosyncrasies to become my favorite parts of you

I want to laugh, cry, sleep, and wake with the understanding that your mine

And I want to do everything to keep it that way for the rest of my life

I want to love you when it’s not convenient and prove that it’s actually love this time.
