Hi Angel DeVille,

I just finished reading your story "Not My Parents’ Favorite" and I loved it so much. Your writing is amazing I kept picturing it as a compelling comic adaptation.

I was especially struck by the Prologue and early chapters where Mari Worthington rebels against her father’s expectations and societal pressures. The tension of her secretly publishing a novel that mirrors her family's dark secrets while living under the constant scrutiny of her prominent fatherfelt visually powerful. Panels showing her conflicted expression as headlines spread, and scenes of her drafting the fictional story at her desk with anxiety and determination, would be so cinematic.

The dramatic unraveling of family dynamics infidelity, arranged marriage pressure on Mari, and Randall’s hidden life creates rich emotional layers. For instance, when Mari confronts the fallout of the published book and faces her father’s wrath, the storytelling and inner tension would translate beautifully into sequential art.’m a commissioned artist, and I’d love to draw your story into a comic/manga. No pressure though.I just think your work would look awesome visually.

jo987_123: This is a good story, but it needs a good editor to go through this iteration and fix the mistakes. The pov changes from 1st person to 3rd person, often, and sometimes within one sentence. It needs a liberal sprinkling of punctuation marks throughout, and a decision needs to be made about the char...
