Undead: Risen

Previously on another story.

The last of the creatures from the post credit from the beast of what would start this franchise. The croc like creature had been trying to find food but couldn't for the past weeks ready to die and accept fate but then a human came to pass by it. It's three distinctive sail-like frills on its back torn and having being chipped and at the front of it bite marks of its own showing this bite as there's more of them. The beast crawled on its scaly legs and into the ground laid its feet resting into the dirt its claws dug lightly. The human had stumbled upon it when it decided to take refuge on the only body of water staring a river a pond. Putting a gun to target it. It the beast would see this from afar by 2 kilometers in human-like vision receptors seeing the world the why humans do but at a level of alligators. It crawled out and moved under a shrub next to cactus. The human would walk closer as in the scope of his rifle saw that it wasn't a gator. When he walked up to it the beast would have gave a silent hiss and grew louder with every step the man would take. Then out of nowhere it bite him gruesomely into the leg and his bone would snap his veins had opened and blood started to leak out as he'd give a last scream he'd have for his life.

The virus in the venom sack had mutated to become pathogenic making the beast immune and able to give it to more advanced species in this case being humans. The virus inside flowed in the veins and inside the veins to the human blood it would hit and strike on the blood cell. A white cell trying to eliminate it the virus would latch onto it and kill it making it change from a circular spherical cell to a as if it had the microscopic glass shard on a ball the four times smaller than the nerd candy. Making this change all over his body the man would enter paralysis as it would reach his brain. At sudden his eyes were to turn grey and his heart stopped beating as it went into a cramp. The man went blind first in less then 7 minutes and heart attack at 14 minutes. His brain and heart came to halt in working and he went to a completely stop to breathe as he would scream from extreme burns on the inside from the virus in parts of his body such as elbows, and under his knees, and around his neck. At most had turned him from a human to something else entirely different. No longer human he had died fate to this unknown virus from a transfer from an unknown prehistoric beast. This virus would turn him into something. Something thought to be impossible.

"The Turned" he who had it now infected and dead no idea somehow his respiratory system and nervous system still active with somehow a neuron transmit in the brain showing life somehow a series of tiny sparks that travel along the neurons and jump across the synapses were still active but strangely going on and off and separating from each other for seconds after seconds. Just off of the creature came a so far National problem. It wouldn't be until a new man would step up but new threats could appear for him.

Episode one- A "Flesh" Start

A week later when "The Turned" have taken two cities and towns surrounding them in Nevada had already spread quickly.

Someone driving out with others. Thomas at the wheel, his fiancé Madison and their foster daughter soon moved out from the creatures that were taking over their home. "Where do we go?" Said Kayla. "Texas. Back home. We'll be safe there." Said Thomas. Kayla looked out the window and saw the Nevada desert with one Turned, Two Turned Ones, Three Turned Ones, then when reaching five the number would increase but slowly as it were like sheep to Kayla and she fell asleep. Madison stared down to Kayla at her sleeping seeing her pigment of black burns on her tan skin armed and ready for emergency of escape with her trusty crossbow in her arms. "Thomas, Do you think we'll be able to do this, survive The Turned?" Madison questioned to him. "I'm sure we can. It'll be like the worms except this time except their human and brain dead land-walkers." Thomas said. "You meant her didn't you when you said we? Huhh, look she faced those worm things since she was little I'm sure she'll be able to face a couple of brain eating dead people." Thomas said. "I just don't want her to be in any more danger than she already has been. Someone to be in a deserted town like that just isn't right she has had a lot of struggle and for her to be something new to survive. I don't think us ourselves can even do anything about." Madison spoke. "Look she's been burned in the sun having pigments, she faced giant prehistoric subterranean beasts longer then we have she faced losing her first parents she's a strong person I'm sure she can survive this. We as her new parents just have to look after her until she can take care of herself not only in isolated issues but in social issues too. It's our job to help her in public as she has already mastered privacy for so long." Thomas exclaimed to Madison. "I just hope we can find a safe place from this." Madison said.

They drove for only a couple miles to find a herd of The Turned. Waking up Kayla did and saw the herd. "Sure glad to not be those things." Kayla spoke. Thomas drives slowly seeing the ones who were once people that are now mindless flesh eating freaks.

-Elsewhere: Somewhere in the town

A man in his home woke up from seeming to be a coma. He woke up and stood still sitting straight up. He got up and moved around the living room. "What the hell." He said. He heard groans, and a car passing by. He ran out and saw all of The Turned. They saw him and came towards his way. He shuffled back then took a couple steps backwards only to be ran over by Thomas. "Woah, woah, woah, stop, STOP!" He went. "Thomas stop that's not one of them." Madison said late. They got down and saw he is a normal person. "He's not bite or showing any signs or anything we know so far of becoming these things." Madison said. "How do we know he's not turning into one." Says Kayla questioning as she pokes him with the crossbow of hers curious of him. Thomas made up his mind with Madison. They decided to bring him in the car. "Help me put him inside the car." Thomas said. Madison and Kayla did so. "I still feel like it's a bad idea. Like this is going to have a big change somehow." Kayla spoke. Putting the guy in the back and Kayla getting in the back passenger seat gave an advantage for Thomas to tell Madison "See, she's already showing that she can survive trust is a big one." Thomas said. Madison didn't speak but took that information.

Later during the drive he woke up. "Aja!" He said out loud. "He's awake." Kayla said. The guy in the back with Kayla looked at everyone. "Who are you people?" He said. "I'm Thomas." Spoke Thomas. "The name is Madison," She said. "I don't think I trust you enough to give my name," Kayla said to the man. "She's Kayla our daughter." madison mentioned. "Madi- Moom." Went Kayla correcting herself trying to still get used to having new parents.

"So who are you?" Thomas said. "Name's Zak" the guy said. They have been driving for quite some time. "We're low on gas. I'll stop here to fill up. Grab any food, or weapons you can find in the store." Thomas said. They entered the broken down Stripes and grabbed anything they could to get to survive. Back into the car Zak had spoken of something. "I know I'm new to you people but I know a place full of weapons. If we can get there I can help you get them." Zak said. "Okay. I'm trusting you." Said Thomas. They went driving of as Zak gave directions.

They arrived and the men got down to get the weapons and arm their selves and the girls up. "So do you all know how it started?" Zak said. Everyone looked at each other in silence not knowing how to respond to it. Then Madison spoke. "We don't know how it started. We are trying to find out though." "You think it could have something to do with..." Thomas said with Madison saying to him, "The Dirt Devils. Please I'm sure there is no way this and those things are connected." "There's only one way to find out." Thomas spoke. He turned the car around back to the desert. "Thomas, I'm sure there's nothing there." Maddie said. "I'm not giving up there has to be something, a survivor who knows, A first host of the thing, or something there in the desert." He said. "What's going on?" "What are Dirt Devils?" Zak said. "You sure ask a lot of questions." Kayla said. "Well hold on. Thomas, even if there is something of evidence on how this started at least go to the Gun shop. There's plenty of choices of defense and if your right that desert could be ground zero. You need something for defense." Zak said to Thomas. Thomas stayed quiet for a few seconds. "Fine but this better be worth it." He said. They made it to the shop. "Okay Zak this the place?" Thomas asked. "Yes. You're gonna have to be careful who knows what's in there." Zak said. "Keep the girls here. You don't want to lose them in anyway." Zak said. "You're right. Maddie...Kayla you 2 stay here me and Zak will be back. When we do it's back to the desert." The girls put no fuss with it and stayed inside. They walked to the entrance. Thomas picked up a sign from the floor and threw it in the glass of the door breaking the glass. Zak stopped him and opened the door like normal. "You didn't have to do that." Zak said. "I thought it was locked." Thomas said back. They entered as Zak spoke "You didn't have to act like that kid from ParaNorman." Thomas gave a chuckle and grabbed the first weapon. Of course a gun. Zak found a bat on the wall he looked around as he held the bat. "Woah" he said seeing a counter of guns and ammo. "A Benelli M2 Shotgun, CZ75 Handgun, and a AR15 Rifle. I just hit a jackpot." Zak said. "Thomas. Come here I'm going to need your help." He said. Thomas came and found the guns. Here take the guns I'll take the ammo. Thomas had a couple guns with him as well. A couple Knives, a pistol, and a caliber gun. "Here I found some ammo for that Elephant Rifle you got there. Even that Dan Wesson Specialist and Colt Defender." The guns were all loaded. They were lucky to find them loaded and sitting around. They heard something a clink, then groans. The Turned came from the side and broke in. Tearing down the walls and the boarded up aisles and counter. "Shoot. They're coming off from the sides." Zak said. he pulled out one of the shotguns and started shooting and walking backwards. "Go. GO Thomas go! I'm right behind you!" He said shooting. They were heading towards the exit. Without thinking he got random guns off and ammo. He and Thomas got out came running to the car.

Meanwhile in the car:

"Madison." Said Kayla. "Yes." Madison spoke to her. "Do you think at least the slightest chance that The Turned are connected to the Dirt Devils?" Kayla asked her expecting a response back. "I don't know. Even if so I'm sure the Dirt Devils could've not even been the beginning of this." Madison said. "Maybe they are like bats. They carried the virus or disease for years and just know it got off them and latched on to us." Kayla came up with a theory and spoke it out. "Sounds a little far fetched don't you think?" She asked. "Maybe." Kayla said. A bloody hand came up on the back of the car and Madison screamed out and shut her mouth as Kayla only got startled and had her crossbow ready putting her arrow in her bow readying her bow. Another Turned breaks the glass with its hand in the back of the car. I got it said Kayla she took out her melee weapon a Wasp knife and stabbed the Turned in the head and another one coming she did it again one last third Turned and she stabbed it from the nose in and to the brain up in deep killing it. Madison honked the car and the boys ran out back throwing everything in the back behind the passengers where the storage trunk is. Once did started the car and left then more Turned from sides started to come from different directions. "AAAAAAUGH!" Went Kayla. ""Open the sunroof," went Zak as he grabbed a shotgun as Thomas did allowing Zak to get up. Zak loaded his gun and start taking fire. Kayla looking back grabbed a grenade that Zak had grabbed from the warehouse. "Thomas, speed up!" Shouted Kayla pulling the pin and throwing the grenade out to The Turned horde. Something slithering in the swarm on the ground against the turned Kayla could see but not well. Not a snake but she didn't focus on it and was just disgusted and threw the grenade at the horde as Thomas sped the car up an explosion occurred.

Thomas started the drive back to the desert immediately they escaped the horde. When they got there and only miles down from their hometown They found a cave in the far end in the cliffs. "What's that?" Thomas said. "It gets worse look." Said Madison pointing just at a town filled with even more of The Turned in flames broken apart. "What the hell." Went Zak. "I think we just hit something big." Zak said to them. They saw stranded Turned Ones roaming around then the cave. It's stalagmites and stalactites making it look like sharp teeth as the entrance. What they saw as if were an entrance to some beasts nest. Bodies around it and them being of different things of dead lizards, spiders, snakes, even humans. A growl came out of the cave. "That sound sounds like one of them." Kayla said. Whatever it is she heard she has seen before.
