Chapter 1 The Awakening

Once upon a time, in a small town nestled amidst rolling hills and blooming meadows, lived a girl named Emily. She was the first child in her family, and her parents had high hopes for her. From a young age, they expected nothing but perfection from her. They constantly nagged her, criticising her every move and dictating how she should live her life. Emily believed that this was normal, that all parents behaved this way.

Her parents, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Thomas, were very renowned and prestigious persons in their locality. Everyone was envious that they had such a well-cultured, well-behaved, and perfect girl. But they didn't know how they tortured her, pressured her, beat her, and scolded her.

Emily's life took a turn when she didn't pass the government qualifiers service exam. Her parents became even more cruel and hurtful, demotivating her, criticising her, and cursing her. It was at this moment that Emily began to question the fairness of her upbringing.

As Emily grew older, she began to notice a stark contrast between her own upbringing and that of her two younger siblings, Lily and Ethan. While Emily was burdened with rules and regulations, her siblings were allowed to follow their dreams and pursue whatever they desired. Lily, with her artistic talents, was encouraged to paint and create beautiful masterpieces. Ethan, with his passion for music, was supported in his pursuit of becoming a talented musician.

Emily couldn't help but feel a sense of injustice. Why were all the rules and regulations made only for her? Why was she the one who had to bear the weight of her parents' expectations?

These questions plagued her mind, but she kept her thoughts hidden, afraid to voice her concerns.
