Chapter 1
Offer me silver songs, sung throughout satin nights, us tasting stardust, from fallen wishesand your gleaming dreams, so I can find the mate to my soul, as they dance heart to heart. Spin my desires like an autumn leaf, twirl my faith round and round, I do not fear the fall, for I will never crash upon the ground. Unfurl your wings from scarred shoulder blades, when northern winds echo over and through mountains. In auburn gold, I welcome your godly rivers in my soul.
Gaze beyond a horizons sandy hues and conquer the depths guarding the flower of this pomegranate heart. I ache to feel your butterflies fly across my lips, as you lean in to steal a kiss, from these scarlet lips. A ruby rose romance of sweet Sundays, spill a recipe for love, as cinnamon skies clothe our decent into a hazelnut breeze, as we graze each other’s smile through mists of golden teas, infusing our lips with sugary kisses.
Tangled on a hand stitched quilt, may we taste cherry pie pleasures, as we forget the hours in a delectable ease. No matter how aesthetically pleasing these endless seconds are on your cheeks, do not wipe off the slow evaporation of a dying song. I will offer an infinite hymn if you take these notes into a heavenly realm, for I am but a ballad, an unrequited nostalgic of heartache, slowly shading the last daylight, when fireflies dance like ripples of tranquil waterscapes.
I do not care for tomorrow, when yesterday and today still hold the beauty of faiths presence. Forever may be a dream, but what daydream is there to behold, when reality knows there’s blessings in the openings of covered tales waiting to be told. No matter how much my heart yearns to dig up my roots and blossom constellations, upon an immortal plain, my ever changing soul wishes to dance to the song of my mortal ways.
Quietly, I watch the silhouette of your shadow display your dreams, between the veil of a parting mist from candlelight, and I cannot help but wander with your desires into the embrace of midnight. Like brushstrokes along the lines a sculpted memory, I ache to discover the horizon of all your passions.
Earth lives within your eyes, yet I’ve seen you weep too many oceans of heartache upon these flightless wings of mine, that I gladly traded for a graceful sweep. Take my hand and dive down deep into my iridescent release, for my necklace of pearls, will let us breathe under a mermaid’s moon, as we find our way home.
