Thrilling and Unexpected
"I loved the unexpectedness of this story. It kept me guessing and reading each chapter. Cora’s character was believable and real. I would have liked to see her early years of development. To understand more of who she was. But despite that, I felt like her story was a good one. I wished that she and her husband did not choose to walk away from their marriage, for the simple fact that marriage is holy and sacred. For example, if she had merely been betrothed, or promised, and then turned to Adam, I would have appreciated that more. But then the whole part of her children would have been lost, and those were crucial moments. I loved the seafaring aspect of this book. It was well-done with correct terminology, without being unintelligible to the “laymen” to sea terms. "
