Delightful Read!
"This novella featured two endearing characters, Bethany and Ox, whom I liked instantly and delighted in their growing relationship. The author is funny and the witty dialogue made me laugh often and smile throughout as she developed the characters. The Vigilante chapter was a sexy romp--listening to Taylor Swift's song helped to give it background and I enjoyed it even more. Krysta's writing is compelling--you are pulled in and just want to keep reading and tune out the world! The story is filled with so much feeling and camaraderie between characters that it lifted my spirits. Also, the nods to Penny Reid's characters were priceless. Being an avid reader of Penny's writing, I felt like I was back home again in this story. I cannot wait for a future release from Krysta because I'm a super fan already! "

This is a magical gem of a story!
"I kid you not, I have read this story 3 times! THREE! Honestly, I just can't get enough of Bethany and Ox. Bethany is so hilarious and relatable and you can't help but root for her. Ox is sweet, vulnerable and Swedish (which was a really nice touch). The communication between the two was glorious, especially because any miscommunications they had were quickly and rationally resolved. The sex scenes were perfect. I have never read such a sweet sex scene that, at the same time, was also super dirty. The cameos from other characters were great fun and I haven't read such a good Cletus Winston since Penny Reid's original. Lastly, Krysta's ability to turn basic words like "sex" into phrases like, "smoking hot sex fire" is my new favorite thing. Please please please write more words so I can read all of them!! "

"Bravo to you Krysta Dearson! This book does not read as if it is a first-time novelist. It is a compelling work of a seasoned professional! The attention to detail is exquisite! It is very clever how each chapter has a musical theme that ties in beautifully with the storyline. It is a smart read. As the romance develops and bursts into a heated flame, the reader is transported there right with Bethany and Ox. It is hot, very hot! And yet, Dearson writes with such s deft hand that there is nothing crude about. It is a beautiful thing. She also brings in humor exactly when it is needed. At times it caught me so off guard it had me "choking" with laughter! When the author shared Ox 's lyrics, I was trying to hear the tune, and sort of set them to music myself in my mind. For someone who is not familiar with the first generation characters that this story takes off from, it doesn't matter. The story is well written and complete in itself. So, this is wonderful for a"Debut" album. The app says I only read nine chapters of the book but I read all 12 every word my dear. Some of them several times! Can't wait till you have a stack of "greatest hits!". Awesome book! "

"I loved this Winston second generation short story! I felt like the setting and the pacing was great for such a short story and with a lot of characters making a cameo who probably demanded more time onscreen than the poor author could pack in such a story (we know they love being the center of the attention, always and forever). There was everything I love about Penny Reid and the Smartypants universe: humour, sass, chemistry, some tears and a boatload of love. Bethany character was amazing and Oxsten was so compelling! Her sass just made me laugh out loud several times and smile more than I had in some time. I cannot wait to read more from Krysta Dearson!"

"This story is just very well-written. The characters are both likable and it is refreshing for neither of them to be too timid to be upfront about what they were feeling. I appreciate that the story was t insta live but more insta lust turned love. The plot was well developed, especially for a novella. The author wrote a believable heroine and that is always a plus for me!! Chapter 6 was everything for this Swiftie!!! "

"I like the story alot and laughed in every chapter. I thought the story was fast but for a short story the characters were well rounded. I've never read the books the characters were based on, but it makes me want to read about them. I'd definitely read this if the story was longer or had more to it. I would read more from this author. "

"I love the writer's sense of humor and writing style, I didn't want the story to end. For a short story what she managed to accomplish in short time, somehow making it lust then actually falling for each other without feeling too shallow. It's hard to pick a favorite part~but the vigilante shit scene I went back to read it after listening to the song and I could totally see the scene playing out in my head. I'd read more of this story or other stories from this writer. "
