Chapter 1
Lightning streaked across the sky as the rain poured down in Jacksonville, Florida. Sam stood in the shadows of the buildings that were across from McAllister Inc. She glanced up, noticing that the lights were still on in James McAllister's office. She cocked her head as she thought about what he had done to her family; did he kill them? No, but he had been the one to put the hit on her family.
Her eyes were hazel with a tint of hatred and sadness she hated the thought of killing someone, but someone had to put that monster down before he could affect another family. She is not sure why the hit was put out, but that doesn't matter if it was her family and retribution, which will happen even if it means that she dies.
She was keeping in the shadows, keeping away from any traffic cameras or cameras attached to buildings. She was ready to cross the street when a Black Mercedes Van pulled onto a side street next to McAllister Inc.
Sam eyes narrowed as she saw three men in black jump from the back of the van staying like herself from any lights and cameras. She noticed that they pulled out revolvers from their side holsters and were checking to make sure they were loaded.
Rolling her hazel eyes, she guessed she would have to save that man's life tonight and get her revenge another time. She hated killing, but it had to be done.
Running across the street, she moved to the side street to continue watching the three men. They were still talking, so she needed to find a way in and quick. Looking down at her computer watch on her arm, she put in for the floor plan of McAllister building. Seeing that there would be a way in from the back of the building, she runs as fast, trying to beat the men inside.
Getting to the back of the building, she pulls out a lock pick to open the back door. Hopefully, it will not trigger the silent alarm. As she pulled the door open softly, the power of the whole building went off; swearing, she swung open the door and headed towards the CEO Express elevator. As she climbs the ladder inside the shaft, she realizes that there are battery-operated cameras hidden in the corners.
"Crap," she muttered as she put her fingers between the doors to pull them open so she could get in. Luckily, she was petite and skinny so she could slide herself inside the elevator. Once in, she opened the trap door and pulled herself up into the elevator. As she climbed the ladder inside the shaft, the lights went off in the building, leaving no time to waste to get up there to save that scumbag's life. She better get into heaven; she thought as she as she started taking two steps at a time when suddenly she lost her footing and was holding the steps with her hands; she got her footing back and continued upwards. Sam heard the elevator coming up they must have just shut everything down except for the CEO's elevator. She could hear it approaching when she looked to the left and saw a tiny camera. Sam knew what to do and carefully turned her body towards the moving elevator so she could judo on it. As the elevator, she looks at the elevator goes and winks while blowing a hand kiss as she passes it.
