Glossary
ALPHA- The leader of a pack, chosen on the basis of either bloodline or physical(strength), mental(strategy, intellect) abilities and other(loyalty, leadership, management) attributes. They are the highest-class wolves and have sharper senses compared to the other low-ranked wolves. Mostly, the kids of Alphas are trained to be future Alphas to carry the pure bloodline.
BETA- The second-in-command of a pack, the right-hand person to an Alpha. They are chosen based on skills only. In the absence of an Alpha, the Beta handles the pack and makes the decisions. Mostly, the kids of Betas are trained to be Betas to carry the pure bloodline.
DELTA- The regular members of a pack with no rank. They are considered the middle class of the wolf world.
GAMMA- The third-in-command of a pack. They take orders only from the Alpha and the Beta.
MATE - Mate is a term werewolves use to describe their soulmates. The deity they praise - Moon Goddess - has linked each werewolf’s soul to one other werewolf’s soul. Mates recognize each other by their scent. Each werewolf has a particular scent to them.
MIND LINK- An ability to speak to the members of your pack - individually or group addressing - telepathically.
OMEGA-The lowest rank in a pack. They are considered to be soft mentally and weak physically.
PACK - A group of werewolves living together. In the werewolf world, packs find permanent settlements and claim their territory to live. In other words, they discover towns of their own.
ROGUE - Wolves who left the pack life or have been cast out by their packs. Most rogues are criminals banished or exiled from their respective packs for doing something heinous. There are also cases where someone is born rogue. It is believed that rogues begin to lose their sanity if they stay out of contact with other wolves for a while.
WEREWOLF- Someone who is half-human half-wolf. They can transform into either of the forms at will.
