WHY??

In the land of shattered dreams and wails,

Palestine's heart weeps as the world turns pale.

Silent screams pierce through the tear-stained air,

Aching souls engulfed in despair.

Why, oh why, does the ceasefire hide?

While innocent lives crumble, collide.

How can we bear to see them bleed,

As their pleas for mercy go unheard, indeed?

Their agony drowns in rivers of red,

Mothers mourn as their children lie dead.

Father's hands tremble, shattered and torn,

Collecting fragments of lives cruelly shorn.

Children's tears flow like rivers of pain,

Their innocence shattered, forever stained.

Mental scars etched deep in their tender souls,

As their futures crumble, consumed by dark holes.

A young child carries a burden too heavy to bear,

The lifeless body of a brother, so unfair.

Families shattered, their hearts torn apart,

While the world turns away, aching hearts depart.

How can we ignore the cries of despair,

As genocide's flames devour with no care?

Guilt should haunt us, pierce us through,

For enjoying comforts built on others' rue.

Are we but shadows, devoid of compassion's grace,

Blind to the suffering humanity must face?

Why, oh why, do we close our eyes,

As innocent children face a world of demise?

Let this poem be a plea to ignite,

Emotions raw, burning bright.

For Palestine, let our hearts ignite,

Reviving empathy, banishing the night.

Together we'll rise, hand in hand,

With love and compassion, a united band.

To heal the wounds, reclaim their rights,

And bring an end to these darkest nights.

So let us weep, let us feel the pain,

For in our tears, a promise remains.

To fight for justice, for freedom's embrace,

And stand with Palestine, in love and grace.

Cora: Decent story. Slightly predictable turn of events but I didn't think at this point it was a possible twist! I enjoy the stream of thought writing style this has, though some proofreading and punctuation could help a few spots. Recommend this for ebooks and forgive a few confusing errors. Enjoyable t...

Angela: A good story so far. I like Amora's character and the ideas such as, Aiden taken power over the pack and stripping Amora of her title. The drama around how Aiden tortured Amora carving his name into her skin was dramatic which I liked. Gave the story some substance. When Aiden captures Amora and beg...
