Chapter 1
Concentrate on what i am saying.
People are dying. Children are crying.
Concentrate. Concentrate. Concentrate on what i am saying.
"Concentrate. Phones away everybody. We are in class not out at lunch"
School. The thing everybody hates, Including me.
"Dont make me take your phones!"
Teachers yelling. Students ignoring. Brains hurting.
"The bell doesnt dismiss you, i do."
Every kid goes to school looking foward to only one thing.
"Dont forget to hand in your homework on time"
The weekend.
"DJ!" Casper stared at me with a concerned look. "Dude the bell went. We can leave now. Why are you still sitting here?"
Addison turned towards Casper before stating "She zoned out again. Why else would she be sitting in a classroom after the home bell rang"
"You sure do zone out an awful lot. Isnt that like.. i dont know. A bad thing?" Said Casper now looking even more concerned.
"Casper, its fine really. Everybody zones out" I reassured her.
"Mhm. But not as much as what you do" Casper replied.
"Oh leave her alone Cas. The poor things probably just stressed and overworked."
"Hmm your right. Maybe zoning out is how she always has top grades. Maybe i need to start zoning out more.." Casper replied stupidly making Addison laugh.
The three of us were the most unlikely of friends.
The nerdy student with straight A's.
The sport obsessed girl
And the popular fashionista
In any world. These three people would be in completely different friend groups. But not us. We've been together through thick and thin. I guess our world is the odd one out.
"Hey DJ. Are you coming to that party tomorrow night?" Addison quickly spun to face me
"Uh- Addy im not sure. I have alot of studying to do and.. they dont really like me. Like at all.." I hesitantly replied.
"I'll be there. If anyone says anything about you I'll hurt them!" Casper declared.
"Cas. Too far. D dont worry. Dont let them get to you, me and cas will both be there. You'll be fine!"
"Yeah ok. I guess ill go if you both want me to.."
