Prologue
Before a realm existed for life to flourish, there was wildness and waste, disorder and desolation. Deep darkness covered this roiling abyss and there was no concept of time, for it had not yet been marked.
The Way, who had no beginning nor end, hovered over the abyss. Then the Will said, “Bring the light,” and the Word brought the light, walking over the surface of the abyss. The deep darkness could not comprehend the light and was subdued by it.
The Will and the Way decreed that there should be boundaries for the darkness and the light, and the Word gave them names: Evening and Morning. And so time was marked and permeated the very fabric of existence.
The Three saw that the names were good and brought purpose to the new realm. It was a place of beginnings. For where there is room for life to thrive, there is hope. And where there is life and hope, love can flourish. And where love abounds, the impossible becomes possible.
