Broken bones

The moon glowed in its radiant shade of crystal white as it pierced through the clouds with its barbaric strain. I wither like a forgotten flower, and so the night turns into hysteric pain. The cascading rush of deriding figures alters the scenery of the mind; it shakes as much as it is crestfallen and yet stands.

What is it like to fall in love? Love when the uncertainty is shadowed by the blue lagoon of clouds. When the strong bonds laugh impishly at fear and doubt.Love, which renders a stroke of colour on the empty canvas of life.Love, when the pillorying thoughts and sense of incompetence shiver like an old peasant in the sheer feeling of insignificance. Love, when you don't feel like a crime

What is it, I reckon?

What is forever,if I dare to ask? Is it just a generic continuation of time?

I was taught that forever is when they love you no matter what. It's when they never leave your side. But time taught me it's the sweetest con. It's the sweetest lie.

The hearts that once used to be full, the faces that once smiled the most

The promises that were once kept like an oath, the heads that once prospered with hope. They dwindle away in their most adulterated form, ashes. sullied by a million judgements. “But it's alright" I say, consoling myself. Everything you lose is a step you take.

What is self-esteem,folks? My mom says it's knowing your worth. It's understanding the fact that diamonds don't shine at the bottom of the cave.

But I've never felt that. I've never even felt an equivocal desire to reward myself with that affection and ebullience.

Maybe I confined myself to feeling a certain way, but how does one celebrate something they know they are not worthy of?

How does one escape this labyrinth of mediocrity?

These contrasting ideas combine to form one big human.A happy, perplexed human.

When we feel to the core of our souls that our surroundings are bewildering, people are unpredictable, and the future is unknown,we truly prepare ourselves.

At the end of the day,in this relatively pleasant tapestry of creation, we're all just carrying the weight of our broken bones.
