I gasped at the accusation "NO" I said horrified, and began trying in vain to break out of his grasp " Then why did he look at you like that?" " I don't know, let go of me" I screamed, as I resorted to hitting his chest, " Your mine, Natasha" before i could see it coming his lips were on mine, with every ounce of power I had, I bit down on his lip drawing blood, then lifted my fist slamming into his jaw before turning and running away, like im running from the monster he is

Chapter 1

“We should go to the party” this is the third time she asked, I roll my eyes once again

“For the third time You can go if You want “she looks up at me from her place on the floor of my bedroom

“Why can’t you go to just this one party?” I lower my book and look at her over the top

“Because I’m the loser, remember?” I answered, she sigh’s

“You're not a loser, just this once, I won’t ask again, I promise” I know that’s a lie, when I open my mouth to refuse, she gives me the puppy eyes, I groan and turn onto my back

“Elizabeth Winsted you are going to be the death of me” she squeals and jumps up

“Let me pick you an outfit” I sit up she’s already looking through my closet

“What’s wrong with what I have on?”

She examines my baggy shirt and jeans, then cringes when she takes in my burgundy hair thrown in a messy bun

“ not happening honey, I finally managed to convince my bestie to come to a party, I’m showing you off” she pulls out a tight long sleeved red dress and stuffs it back in, shuffle through and stops, she examines a dress, then pulls it out and turns to me, holding it up, it was black mini strapless dress I cringed at the length, why do I still have that thing.

A migraine was forming so I decided to not argue with someone who will win every argument, I take my clothes off, change my sports bra for the strapless push up bra, Lizzy handed to me, and slipped the dress over my head along with a red and black plaid oversized button up. I let my hair fall in soft waves down my back and apply hydrating lip gloss, courtesy of Lizzy, and put my phone and headphones in a shoulder bag that hangs down to my hip.

“Happy?” I ask giving a twirl for Lizzy’s amusement, she smiles and nods, then goes and puts on a similar dress to mine just a light pink which goes good with her honey blonde hair and baby blue eyes.

The party was at a house, no mansion, bodies were grinding on one another, the smell of sweat and liquor made me gag. Music was blaring, lights were flickering, making my migraine grow

“let’s go get some drinks” Lizzy whispers in my ear, I nod, she pulls me into the kitchen.

“ I’m going to go talk with the cheer team for a little, you venture around” she says I nod before taking a sip, which was difficult because I kept getting elbowed, stumbled upon, and used as a paper towel for drinks, eventually I simply sat on the counter, where I have a perfect view of everything, and room to breathe.

The music was absurd, and LOUD, I didn't even notice when he walked it, until I'm forced to look over thanks to the drunk teenager that just bumped into me, I gasped

Nikolai Roman

The most popular boy in school, and my fucking tormentor, I assess his features, nothing changed drastically, his black hair was cut shorter but you could still see the curls that inhabit it, his hazel eyes were still, cold enough to kill a raging bull with a single glance, he’s still lean, slightly muscled enough to see through his shirt.

“Natasha, hey” I snap my attention away from him to Jason.

“hey” I replied with a smile, fake of course

“didn’t think this was your thing” he gestures to the packed room of people grinding on one another.

“usually it’s not but I seem to have a very convincing bestie” I say, he lets out a laugh, I gulp down some of my drink.

“I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime” he rubbed the back of his neck

'Damn it'  I let out a sigh.

“I'm sorry but I'm not interested in a relationship ” I dismiss him and go back to surveying the crowd.

“Why are you  playing hard to get” I raise an eyebrow in Jason’s direction

“I’m not playing hard to get, I’m just not interested” I say, he walks away, I let out a breath and make the decision to go outside.

It’s peaceful outside, I find a wooden bench, that looks more like a bed and lay down, legs crossed, getting lost in the stars.

My mind seemed to wonder off to a certain hazel eyed devil, to the time sophomore year when I had glasses, braces, and acne infested face. I wonder what he would think of me now?

I don’t plan on finding out

The party was still in full swing even if it was well past midnight. Against my better judgement I head back to the party, I’m met with the stench of sweat and vomit and other undefinable things.

“Would you like to dance”

I look over at a relatively decent looking guy shining his pearly whites at me, having nothing better to do, I join him on the dance floor.

the next thing I know I’m struggling to get away from being pulled through the house to destination unknown. The stranger pulled me into a room and pushed me inside.

“What the fuck are you doing?” his deep voice sent shivers down my spine

“what's it matter?” I ask, crossing my arms,

to him its defiance,to me it's well needed protection

“Answer the question, Natasha” he takes a step towards me, now he's close enough I must look up to talk to him, but I don’t

“Dancing” I shrug, knees shaking, but he doesn’t need to know that he puts his hand under my chin forcing me to look him in the eyes

“Why are you here love?” he whispers, leaning closer to my face, I step away pushing his hand away

“it's none of your business” I go to walk past him, but he's quicker that I am, he loops his hand around my waist and pulls me until I'm flush against his front, where he glares

“Watch your fucking mouth” he growls, I attempt to push him away, remembering the last time I was this close to him, and the bruises I got from it, he lifts his hand, and I flinch tossing my head to the side, an involuntary tear sliding down my face. To my utter surprise his thumb catches the tear as he caresses my cheek.
