Rainfall
We all go out to eat dinner downtown. It’s around 6ish and we go to open rice with all the dummies. Delilah forgets money so Sebastian shares his food with her. She is so grateful and giggles a bit when he pushed his food closer to her. After we eat, we go to the park. They both are sitting next to each other on the tractor. They’re joking back and forth and there is like playful shoving and insulting. We eventually start playing tag. Sebastian’s it and he is chasing her. While she is running, she trips and begins to cry. He kneels next to her to comfort her. Her crying turns into laughter and she shoves him to the floor jokingly revealing that she was faking it the whole time. He says “oh my gosh you’re so annoying” but he’s blushing and smiling. She responds with “come on, it was a little funny” at this point, everyone else is gone. We went back to open rice because Jerry left his bag there. They were both lying down in the middle of the grass looking at the stars. They start off pretty much silent, but then she begins to point out the different constellations. They go back and forth mentioning another one after another one until they can’t see anymore. He makes up one randomly and she bursts out laughing. He joins her for a moment of just pure joy and peace. Then he looks over at her. He is about to tell her how he feels, but right before he had the chance, it began to rain. She gasped which made Sebastian laugh. She laughed too and he help her up. Once they were both standing, their eyes meet. She is looking up at him and he reaches out for her hand. She grabs his left one and then the right one. He began to lean towards her and she does the same. They share their first kiss holding hands in the rain. His heart is racing, but in a way that makes him want to cry in happiness. She feels surrounded with joy and comfort. Not a care in the world. It’s like time froze. They both laugh after a brief pause. Both of their faces are red and neither of them knew what to say. Eventually, he says “sooooooo, does this mean you like me back?” She laughs and says “Maybe. Why, is this you asking me out?” He confirm what she is asking and makes a plan for an official first date. Delilah smiles and says “finally.” This makes him blush. Then he looks at the time and realize he has to go home. He gives her a hug goodbye and she walks him to his car. A quick kiss on the cheek and smiles from both of them before he shuts the door and slowly watches her bright red smiling face fade as he drives away.
