Chapter 1
"What a very hectic day am so glad that am done for today"norelle said the moment she steeped inside their house and fell on the couch while dropping her bag on the table and exhaling which shows how exhausted she was ...as she close her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Hearing the sound of the door opening norelle jolted up from sleep in as much as she is very exhausted she is a light sleeper she tends to know everything that happens around when she is asleep... opening her eyes her tense muscle relaxed seeing that it's her aunt who came in "welcome aunty"norelle greeted her aunt and fell back into the couch..
"Oh norelle you are back so early today...how everything is alright?her aunt asked the moment she saw that norelle is back.
"Yes aunt we were given a half day off so I won't have to work for the night shift"
"That's great because am being to get worried about you ...I have told to choose between the morning shift at least you come home and have enough rest at night"her aunt said having a worried look on her face.
"See aunt I told you am fine ,you do not have to worry about me and besides we still need money for your medication and am not complaining....am very famished right now did you bring anything along with you? norelle asked as she kept on yawning "yes I got some noodles for us to eat"
"Thank God I was about to die of hunger"
Norelle got up and took the noodles from her aunt to go and prepare it.. within ten minutes the noodles was done and served...
"Hmmm norelle before you go to sleep there is something I want to discuss with you"
"What is it aunty ?is it about your health?norelle asked as she sat beside her aunt
"No norelle is not about my health and you need to start thinking of yourself it should not always be about me ,am perfect this discussion is about you "
"What is it then aunty?
"I want you to go back to school again"
"Anuty you know I would love to but we do not have enough funds for that,we can barely survive to have two square meal a day that is why I had to start working to aid with some things"
"I know but just that I heard about this school that is offering scholarship to intelligent people like you and I knew within that you will make it if you attend the examination "
"Aunty even if I pass the examination,how do we afford for my school fees and books?
"That is why is called scholarship you won't be paying for those things and besides I can't watch you ruin your future like that in front of me and I will just sit and do nothing about it"
"Ok aunty if that will make you happy"
"So tomorrow I will you some money to go get the form at least we can still afford that "
"Goodnight aunty"
"Goodnight my dear sleep tight "
Just like that one month came to an end ,norelle already got the form for the scholarship entrance examination and she will be having the exam tomorrow...she was not that anxious about ,she had to stop her night shift due to her aunty constant pleading so that she will use that time for her studies and she has been studying pretty well for the past one month and she is more than confident that she will pass ...she already made some research about the school and found out that it was a school for the rich even though she is not anxious about the exam she is really anxious about going to the school not after knowing that there are all kinds of bully in the school but she would not let her aunty find out about that she is already done for work and was coming form the restroom where she had her dressed changed when someone grabbed her butt and squeezed it ..norelle has never felt humiliated like this before because right fire is about to erupt from her mouth out of anger but the guy who did it was nonchalant to the atmosphere as he tried to do it again only to receive a deafening slap from norelle which led him to be holding half of his face in his palms while norelle stare dangers at him"you son of bitch try this again and you will be pleading for your life"norelle said as she was about to leave only to feel a pain in her scalp the guy dragged her back with her hair and that was when her anger reached the maximum limit ,she used all her strength to get free from him and gave him a hard kick in his lower region which left to crunch done and groan in pain and norelle took to her heels"damn it you will pay for this" came the guys name who got kicked at by norelle.
Norelle got back home and started feeling guilty that maybe the kick was too much what if she injured him but on a second she was against it"suits him well maybe next time he will not be so perverted to another girl"norelle said as she dropped her stuffs and sat down to revise for her exam tomorrow...
Norelle stayed awake up untill 3am in the morning before falling asleep ..
"Norelle wake up and get ready for your exams you will be late"that was the voice norelle heard before jolting up from sleep"aunty what is the time? norelle asked
"It's 7:30am"
"What! And you did not bother to wake me up earlier than this "norelle said as she ran into the bathroom instantly leaving her aunt to herself...
She was really lucky that she picked out the outfit she needed last night if not there is no way she was gonna make it to the exam by 8:15am . . she barely spent ten minutes Inside the bathroom and she was out already putting on her dress did not take up to five minutes and she was done... in as much as she does not want to take break but her aunty forced her to so she has no other choice than to drink a hot tea and grabbed her sandwich and ran out of the house...
