Chapter 01

The last thing she remembered was complete darkness, accompanied by overwhelming pain. A pain she couldn't define, let alone describe in her own words. Pain that left her unable to move any of her limbs. Although she wasn't 100% sure she had any. In addition, there was terrible pressure on her head that prevented her from thinking clearly. Therefore, all she could do was hope that this strange numbness would pass. Even if she didn't have a headache, she would still be terribly dizzy. She tried at all costs to collect her thoughts to understand where she was currently. After a dozen or so attempts, she finally managed to open her eyelids. Which wasn't as easy as she thought, made worse by the fact that it took her a while.

Before her eyes became accustomed to the darkness around her. It was then that she began to realize where she actually was. No wonder her heart jumped into her throat and the blood began to flow faster in her veins. That's why she wanted to scream, but she couldn't make a single sound and it was starting to drive her crazy. She tried to free herself, but instead all she heard was the clang of metal. This was because it was attached to some table, which later turned out to be made of metal. No wonder she felt this uncontrollable numbness from here, because the metal was incredibly cold. With each passing moment, she became more and more aware that she was in some deserted doctor's office, like something out of a horror movie.

No way in hell did she remember how she got there. Let alone who put her in this spooky place, she was one hundred percent sure. There was a musty stench everywhere, making her unable to breathe. If he doesn't die at the hands of a psychopath, he will probably die of suffocation. Although, if she could choose, she would probably choose the second option, of that she was sure. Rather than being cut alive by this freak she had yet to see with her own eyes. That didn't mean that every now and then she thought she heard footsteps or voices. And the rumbling of the wind only intensified the terror and fear in her that she was unable to stop.

“Where the hell am I?!,” [Y/N] thought after a while, because that was all that came to her aching head at the moment.

Especially since, out of the corner of her eye, she began to see various jars with various things in them. The sight of them made her feel terribly sick, but thanks to the fact that she had nothing in her stomach, she just recoiled without anything. Before she could recover, she heard footsteps again, this time approaching with alarming speed to where she was. She knew she had a few moments left before her short life ended. So she closed her eyes to pretend that she still hadn't regained consciousness. Due to the eerie silence, more voices began to reach her ears. Voices that told her to run away from this place as soon as she had the chance. They didn't have to tell her about it, because if they could, she probably would have grabbed her legs and run away. However, she couldn't do it because she was chained to that damn table. The footsteps stopped for a moment and she could hear voices that gave her goosebumps. At first she heard several people talking to each other.

Determining the next steps for whatever nefarious experiment they were planning to conduct. Then it dawned on her that they meant her, who was to be subjected to this experiment. No wonder she opened her eyes for a moment to see who they were. Because no matter how you look at it, she was the object of this particular experiment. Soon after, she heard the terrifying sound of a door opening, which was probably also made of metal. Through which a cloudy gray-white subdued light poured into the room. Thanks to which she saw that there was dried blood on the walls, furniture and probably the floor. That's why she felt this strange metallic smell that, apart from the ghost itself, lingered in this place. Then her hair stood on end as she saw around her translucent beings floating and screaming in silent screams. No wonder her opening her eyes was a complete mistake, she was one hundred percent sure!

“I want to go home!,” [Y/N] squealed after a while, because that was all she could think of at the moment.

As soon as they had passed through her mind, some people she didn't know started entering the room. But what's more, it's weirder than the previous one, or rather more terrifying. [Y/N] was so confused by this sight that she forgot to break free, let alone scream in fear. Three of them had masks over their faces, so she couldn't tell what they looked like beyond their silhouettes. Another one of them looked like a nurse, but she also thought she was suspicious. Especially since she was one hundred percent sure she heard the male voice she was using.

“What kind of fucked up people are these?!,” [Y/N] asked herself, completely forgetting about the other two people.

People who could barely be seen due to the darkness falling on them. With each moment, she wanted to wake up from this nightmare more and more, but it didn't work. Hence, she slowly began to realize that it was not a dream, but reality. Therefore, her short life was really in danger and she could lose it at any moment. That doesn't mean she wasn't going to let it happen. When she decided to try to free herself once again, she noticed this pseudo-nurse approaching one of them, whose face she still couldn't see. She started whispering something in his ear, but she couldn't hear what it was.

Instead, the other one, who was standing next to him, turned on a dim light just above the table to get a better look at her. Although she was aware that in his mad eyes she was just an object of study. The very sight of him made her heart jump into her throat again. And fear was starting to take control of her again. Then the nurse came to the table and said something to the person who had just been leaning over her. A bit irritated, he turned and moved towards the other one. And therefore leaving her and that nurse alone for a while. When she wanted to say something, but she, or rather he, beat her to it.
