Chapter 1: Winter Promises
Once in a time long ago, there was a young woman with hair of dark brown. Her eyes seemed like jewels of jasper and rubies. As she was dressed in a snow-white dress with pearls of jet onyx color. She looked out the window on a winter's night. A knock was heard by her.
She whispers: 'Come in."
A young woman around the age of 19. Her jet-black hair and silver eyes looked up at the woman at the window. Her pale blue dress drags on the ground behind her as she walks up close to the window with the other woman.
She whispers: "Hello Sister."
The woman who was staring out the window, replies: "Hello Anna."
Anna asked: "Why do you have the window open sister?"
She replied: "It was too warm in here tonight."
She moves away from the window as she gets up, showing a baby bump on her stomach.
She whispered: "Anna... I want you to promise me something... If something were to happen to me. I want you to care for this child who rests within me. I trust you more than that husband of mine. I know he will make her marry at a very young age; I don't wise for that to be her only choice as a young lady. I want you to be her teacher, her friend, and her stepmother. Will you promise me this?"
Anna replied with the most confined she had ever had before. She said: "Yes Sister,"
