Ms Brenna was at it again, I couldn't blame her for being an Omega but I could fully blame my father for being a scumbag.
Like his claimed mate.
I helped cutting the Vegetables while cleaning up the kitchen.. preparing food for the guests.
I didn't want to look for my mother,in all honesty seeing her by a corner crying for a bastard like my father would put me in rage.
She couldn't get used to the fact that he had marked some other woman before he found her.. she just might never get used to it...

Now I'm turning eighteen soon the bitch wouldn't let me the daughter of her rival become Alpha.

Due to political reasons he mated with a well acquainted woman and found my mother after doing that.
Now she claims she is pregnant to stop me.

"Vanessa,you mother won't be attending and so you must be there and at your best behavior" Ms Brenna says softly.
I roll my eyes,of course she knew me well enough...I would cause a scene and that was certain even though consequences would follow after.
They couldn't be happy while my mum mourned in a corner.
it would always be unfair to her and its an oath I have taken.
To fight for her.
"It's not possible Ms Brenna,I will mess up of course" I state as a matter of fact.
"Your father is Alpha, he's going to make you do it" She shakes her head like it's going to be a bad thing.
i scoffed snorting in an unladylike manner to which she throws me a motherly glare.
"I am his daughter and the real heir, I can surely stand his wrath" I shrug.
I can sure fight his and the whole of the park if I have to.
I don't want a mate... infact may I never find my mate,
I want to be mate less and stay protecting my mother from her own mate.
"You must go now Vanessa,you know the function has already started" she panicks a little.
After his claimed mate said she was pregnant I automatically lost the right to become the next Alpha, everyone had their eyes on the unborn child.
They were even throwing a baby shower for it today.
Not wanting her to worry more or get punished because of me I nod walking to my room
pulling a gown on which is obviously my worst clothing I glare at the heels staring at me and stubbornly put on my flats in the cupboard.
I make no move to do any make up or beautify my hair, afterall I wasn't impressing anyone.
I'm not the graceful daughter of the Alpha, I'm the daughter who brings disgrace.
I put on my sickly smile as make my way to the palour where I'm certain the whole park is gathered partying.

needs a bit of editing, i.e. you used the word "park" instead of "pack," in several places, but it's a good start and intriguing story so far.
I like it- but this girls dad is an asshole! 🤨🙄🤔

I recently went through your story "The Monster" and I loved it so much. Your writing is amazing, and I kept thinking how cool it would look as a comic.
I really loved the scene in Chapter 1, where Vanessa is in the kitchen preparing food while watching her mother cry in a corner,her burning protectiveness and quiet fury at her father's betrayal really come through. The baby-shower/parlour sequence that follows, where Vanessa stubbornly slips into flats, forces a sickly smile, and walks into the gathering, is so cinematic. Those beats, the cramped domestic details, Vanessa’s internal monologue, and the charged body language at the party, are ideal for making a comic because they translate beautifully into close-up panels, expressive faces, and pacing that can emphasize shame, tension, and the slow build of rebellion.I’m specialize in adapting stories into manga/comics, and I’d love to draw your story into a comic/manga.
