Chapter 1. Audition.
" I would like to say, that's fair but it's not exactly what we're looking for , I don't know how to bit around the bush , so am just being honest , but thank you for your time , Asher . " Asher's heart break into a thousand pieces after hearing those words from one of the casting directors.
*Maybe my parents were right , this doesn't suit me at all . * He thinks as he walks out of the stage . * I give up for real this time . *
After he exits , Arthur one of the casting directors looks at others . " I really think that he's not that bad , he should be better after he receives a bit of training , just because this is his first time it doesn't mean he can't really do it , I see potential, confidence and passion in him , why don't we give him a chance , he has the looks that will capture the Audience's attention, trust me . "
" Arthur.. it's not just about the looks , I mean yeah .. the looks are important but he has to have the extra talent in acting ,not just a bachelor of fine arts and the looks . Our company isn't a teaching institution , You know the kind of people we want , besides, you know exactly who we're aiming to be the lead of this series , August Scott.. doesn't like wastage of his time , and the reason why it should be him is for this series to be famous in just a blink of an eye, so we have to find perfect people like himself . " Another argues.
Arthur , " Well , I have a feeling that this boy is going to fit in the group just perfectly, you people didn't even ask him anything, not even why he wants to be an actor , when you heard that he had never acted in a movie or series before, except for the school dramas, you just gave him a script out of the blue , and before he thinks of what he should do , you tell him he's not what you are looking for . How about you leave him to me and you'll see that he's just fine , everyone has his or her first time , besides time is not on our side, we should consider him, you can't keep rejecting everyone . "
" Okay , fine.. you deal with it . I think we're done , he was the last person, wasn't he ? "
" No , there's one person left. "
The next person enters and they don't even pay him much attention because they had already decided on Asher Williams . "
After Asher left he headed back in his small apartment, crying in his bed, so broken and done with life , since he was young his passion has always been in acting , he would perform in every thing that came up in school , be it modeling or singing or dancing , everything, he has attended all the school drama upto Nationals and has always won and given trophies for being the best actor . But what he didn't know is that life outside school it isn't as easy.
After his highschool , he wanted to do Fine Arts but his family wouldn't allow him, they didn't support his dream , they wanted him to do degree in education or Medicine because most of the people in his family were teachers and Doctors but his passion was never there .
So when he was taken to college and admitted as an education student , he changed his course without his parents knowing.
They Only found out after his graduation , where by they were so mad at him that they send him out of the house to go and struggle with life alone .
Just now is when he realizes that maybe they were right, because all the auditions he had a chance to attend he was never picked , he has tried everything he has to but still , he wasn't lucky enough to be chosen.
The other day when he was at Joy Restaurant, where he works , for servival, Caleb his friend from college had called him telling him that there was an audition he was to go but he won't be there because he had been called to china to act in a series there as a foreigner , so Asher should go to the audition and try his luck .
Caleb's father is a producer and for that reason caleb was lucky enough to get so many roles and is already famous because his dad is famous too. Asher was surprised to be called by him because caleb never had the intention of helping any of his friends, he wanted to be famous ahead of all of them and for that reason he kept ignoring them since their graduation.
When Asher thinks that he's getting older and older , 22years old , without his dreams coming to reality , he gets so angry , he gets off the bed and Just as he was about to burn all his certificates and sever ties with all his dreames because of anger , his phone rings . Looking at the caller , it's unknown , he decides to pick it ," What?"
" Hey little boy , didn't anyone teach you how to receive a call or respect your elders ?"
Asher hearing that voice it sounds familiar , he changes his tone and speaks politely . "Uh.. sorry, who is this please.."
" Tomorrow at 11am meet me at Ananas , and don't even think of being late for even 1 minute because you'll have lost a very big opportunity of your little life ," Arthur says hunging up.
Asher couldn't believe his ears , by now he had already captured the owner of the voice , tears stream down his cheeks . The whole remaining time till next day he keeps trying to perfect himself.
