Introduction

On a dark night, the rain pours down on an almost empty street, filled with faulty streetlights and the scurrying of small animals. Small splashes from angry steps can be heard. Miku kicks at the water, getting a fair amount on her shirt. She storms to her friend's house, hopping on the steps, and banging on the door like she's about to ram it down.

"G-get out here, Teto! I know you're there! I forgot something here, let me get it!" Miku waits patiently at the door, but no answer awaits her.

She sighs out of anger and runs to the back of Teto's house. She jumps on Teto's porch, and she puts her face on the wet window, looking through her curtains. Her eyes widen as she sees what's inside.

"Is that a red light..?" She asks herself like she expects an answer. "I'm not even gonna ask. Maybe I should just go home!"

Miku goes back to the front of the house and starts jogging back, still staring at Teto's house wondering what the aforementioned red gleam of light was. With that mysterious occurrence being the only capable thought in her mind, she loses attention and trips on the sidewalk, landing on the dirty rainwater.

"No! My favorite shirt!" Miku says. She rubs on the number logo to see if the stains will come out. The 39 is visible, but instead of being a pretty blue-green, it's an uglier brown. "At least it isn't all gone. I gotta rush though."

Miku gets up again, running and making sure that she doesn't trip this time. She eventually gets home, closing the door, locking it tight, and making sure to not wake up her parents. She runs to her room and jumps on the bed. Before she falls asleep in her bed, she thinks the same thing in her head. What the fuck was that?
